I eat at Beans and Barley all of the time. From their breakfasts to their dinners, there is always something delicious to be had. The scrambled tofu really is the best. I love the breakfast sandwich they offer during the week, and at $4, you can't really go wrong. After months and months of getting tofu scrambles and burritos, I finally decided to try the biscuits and gravy. It was really, really good. It's definitely going to be in my regular rotation of brunch items. The vegan pancakes are also a must.
The TLT is simple, but really good. The stir fry offered nearly every night with the choice of tempeh or tofu is awesome, too. Basically the prices are reasonable, the food is never greasy, and it's never done me wrong!
Everything I've had here is great! The refreshing exotic salad as well as the arugula salad with avocado and pear are 2 of the best salads I've ever had. Really fresh and delicious! I've had the mushroom extraordinaire, which is one of their raw dishes, twice now. It's really unique and comes with raw polenta which is super good. I really want to try the "peace bowl with curried cashew crunch"...and the vegetable stew...and the chilli! I wish it was closer to where I live because it's really nice and always delicious.
The 2 times I've been here the service was just mediocre, but the food was pretty good. I had the curry tofu sandwich which for some reason I wasn't expecting to like that much, but really loved it. I also tried to U-boat made vegan, which was a little greasy, but still yummy. The chocolate mint cake was really good and I could have definitely eaten more!
