I recently moved back to New Orleans and have been amazed at how willing (and enthusiastic) chefs at restaurants like Cafe Adelaide have been to prepare an off-menu vegan meal for me. I was expecting a $30 veggie plate, but was very pleasantly surprised at the fabulous improptu vegan meal I received. Coupled with a freshly-made lime daiquiri from Swizzle Stick, it was perfection!
