I used to love Blue Nile but lately won't eat there because they seemed to have raised their prices as well as shrunk the portions. It's really too bad!
Not a a lot of seating so don't go there with a big group. Nice sized portions, friendly service and fair prices for delicious food!
I love the downtown Buca but have never had an above-satisfactory experience at the Maple Grove location. The food is very bland and the service is bad and slow.
I love Italian and Buca is one of my all time favorites. It's perfect for huge parties as family style meals are their thing. The dishes are big and meant to be shared between groups of 2-4 or 4 or more, but recently they've added single serving portions. If you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner this not the place. It's often very loud and crowded. Though small groups of vegetarians and vegans looking to share can often eat pretty cheaply here so long as you don't splurge on the wines and desserts!
The staff is almost always friendly and seem to know their menu very well.
Always make sure to make a reservation! Oh and parking is in a lot across the street.
I love Caffrey's and so do my roommates. We order their sandwiches frequently and they are always tasty and have a reasonable delivery time. To my recollection they've gotten every order right on every time with out any mess ups!
I fell I love with the tofu at the Eden Prairie location which was next to my work but then they opened the Burnsville location which was near my home and I became an addict. Even though I live in the cities now, I still make the trip to one of their locations for special occasions. The hot and spicy tofu is my favorite and I rarely get anything else! Deep fried crispy tofu covered in a sweet thick molasses like glaze with crushed red pepper, lemon grass and onions. Very sweet but very addicting. Best to eat only a bit then take the rest home- It's so rich! They offer a great lunch special with a few options, one of which is the hot and spicy tofu. It also comes with a cream cheese puff, rice and a veggie soup (make sure they know you are vegetarian or they will bring one with pork in it).
The Burnsville location has a lot of seating and is rarely very busy.
Great tasting and fast food. I get very little on my burrito (just rice, beans, salsa and gauc) so I have to make sure they give me extra rice and beans or my burrito is really pathetic looking and not worth the $6, but they always happily add more if I ask!
I had heard nothing but rave reviews from my friends who found this delicious gem, so not long ago I went and tried Afghani pizza for myself. I love it! It had a great spicy sauce and is served with chutney. I'd addicted now. I didn't ask about vegan options but vegetarians will be happy with this unique treat!
Mmmmmmm Evergreen! I'd eat Evergreen for 3 meals a day, everyday if I could! It is family run which can lead to slow service on some busier evenings but for the most part I've had great service here.
Poor Falafel King, I want to like them because they are open late and near my home but their food is often bland and messy (dolmas falling apart before you even pick them up, food mashed together on your plate).
Yum! Good portions and great food. Service was okay but my boyfriend's food came out much earlier then my food did.
The few times I've eaten at Figlio I enjoyed the food but had poor and slow service.
If you are a vegetarian and not vegan this place isn't so bad. It has a nice atmosphere and a good happy hour.
A friend recently brought me here when I mentioned I was craving cranberry curry from Than Do. It's great, they have it here too and it was only around $8 and delicious and flavorful! They offer many dishes that looked amazing so I will be going back soon!
The dining room was quiet and not very busy. Rather then music, soft bird songs were played, it's a very relaxing place for a quiet dinner.
The one complaint I had was confusion between the wait staff. The man who seated us asked if we were ready to order, then half way through our order he just walked away from our table- mid sentence! We sat there confused until several minutes later a girl came to take our order. Those two switched off serving us the rest of the night but stayed out of sight for most of our dinner.
Overall I enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Gangchen!
A fun place to enjoy a drink and still be able to eat something tasty and vegetarian!
I enjoy both eating and shopping at Holy Land!
Kinh do has some very tasty dishes, I enjoy eating here.
I am rarely impressed by the food at Little T's though the back bean burger is decent. It's really only good to eat at if it's really late and no where else is open. The staff and service is hit or miss. Sometimes we have excellent service, other times it's nearly walk-out terrible.
I've only eaten there a handful of times but I wish I could make it more often as I really enjoyed their food. The servers were nice and the atmosphere was quiet and intimate.
I love the Mao Po tofu, it's very flavorful and the wait staff have been friendly and helpful every time I've been there. Wish I was able to eat here more often!
Panera is pretty god, I don't know why I didn't try it before! I enjoy their soup and every sandwich I've tried so far I've liked. Great meal to grab on your lunch break.
I make the trip to Patel at least twice a month. They have a lot of good food for a vegetarian diet such as these microwavable meals (not in the frozen section but on the shelves close to it) that are under $3 a piece and at times are buy 2 get 1 free. I rarely see meat selections in those meals but they do have several varieties of soup, rice, lentil, chick pea, cheese, and potatoes dishes. So many choices! Since I'm on the go a lot so I stock up on these for when I need a really quick meal. I pair them with some frozen naan (also sold here) or some rice and I'm happy and stuffed. I seriously don't know what I'd do with out these meals!
They also have huge bags of rice, lentils, beans and chick peas and I go here to stock up on many of my spices. They have big bags for such a good price! If you cook frequently it's worth a trip! Not only do they have regular spices but a whole isle of spice mixtures and pastes- the "just add tomato, beans and veggies" kind.
I also love the big cans of mango pulp so you can make your own mango lassi's...yum!
The produce selection is pretty poor so don't expect much.
If you love Indian food and crave more variety in your diet this is a great place!
I love Pizza Luce's food, it never disappoints. Their Artichoke Dip is amazing and they have great pizzas and pastas. I've been going here for years and the service is hit or miss. Most of the time while dining in we have great service but lately we've had slow and lazy service despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't very busy. The wait staff was friendly, just very very slow and inattentive.
We've never had a problem when ordering delivery, the fd always arrives hot and in a reasonable amount of time.
Their pizzas are some of my favorites and it's a great place to meet friends for a drink and food in the summer because of the great outdoor seating. I'd love to go here more often but they are always so crowded.
I enjoy Qdoba's food but would rather go to Chipotle if given the option.
I ate here recently and the waitress was really knowledgeable and gave me several recommendations. I thought they had great prices, however I wasn't really impressed by the food.
Sushi Tango doesn't have as many vegan/vegetarian options as other sushi restaurants but my friends really enjoy their sushi so I go with them frequently for drinks and appetizers. They have made their Age Dashi tofu for me with a vegetarian sauce so I'm sure they will veganize what they can upon request. Their veggie tempura maki is a must try for vegetarians. It's delicious!
I didn't see the rude owner but I did eat there for the first time recently and had a very rude waitress. She was more then happy to refill my boyfriend's glass and listen to what he ordered but when I asked for a refill for myself she rolled her eyes and I didn't get it until she brought the bill. She forgot a dish I ordered and just gave bad service overall. We decided not to leave a tip and we nearly asked to speak to the owner. Glad we didn't!
Too bad because I enjoyed the food and saw several things I wanted to try in the future.
I recently had a small party here and had a great experience! The server was amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and very helpful! The food was amazing and everyone in the party loved the food and most of them were not vegetarians, vegans, or familiar with Indian food! We enjoyed sharing and trying each others' dishes and they were more then happy to make recommendations and cater the spiciness to our tastes.
I am already craving their food again. The owner/cook came out to make sure we enjoyed our food and chat with us a little.
My only complaint is the that is was way too quiet. There was no music playing and the restaurant was nearly empty with only a few tables with couples. We almost felt as though we had to whisper as to not interrupt the other diners, which was a strange atmosphere for a party!
