I've been to Vegan Glory quite a few times and I've always thought it was average Thai food at above average prices. They have a few wrap/burger options as well, which I've never tried. Finally, the last time I went I tried the Praram's Plate which is soy chicken and spinach with a peanut sauce which out of all the dishes I've had is the only one I would recommend. They do have some Banana Spring Rolls which make the experience worthwhile.
The other very annoying thing is that at night the parking lot in front of the restaurant is "valet only." You have to pay $3.50 (the restaurant will validate $2.00 of it back to you) to have your car parked in a space right in front of the restaurant.
I tried the spicy beef which was excellent as well as the lady fingers. Like someone else said, the portions are a little small, but all in all, it was worth it. The thing that makes Alice and Friends stand out is the vegan cheesecake. I've tried a lot of vegan cheesecake and this place has THE BEST, no question. Make sure to check it out if you have a hankerin' for cheesecake.
Whenever I would travel to Chicago, Chicago Diner would be one of the first places I would hit up. I hadn't been back for over 5 years, so I was really excited to eat there last week. Once again, it lived up to everything I had hoped. I always get the reuben sandwich. The best vegan reuben in the country. Plus, now Chicago Diner offers vegan options for all of their sides, which include mac and cheeze, mashed potatoes and gravy, cole slaw and more. But the real treat is dessert. I tried the blueberry cheesecake, which was really good, but not the best. I did make sure to buy a cake to take home with me. The cookies and cream cake used to be a little better, but the german chocolate cake was awesome as always.
