had a blueberry smoothie and it was amazing :) also had the veggie burger--was ok i had it made vegan and had a pita pizza also made vegan which was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The owner created the pita pizza and its probably the best i have ever had :) in addition she gave us all samples of the homemade granola it was DELISH! I would go back and support this little local business every chance i get!
great place and wonderful atmosphere although very outdated :( some remodeling would help this place, also dont expect to be in and out as the servers are sloooooowwwwww.
That being said--my FAVORITE Ethiopian food in the valley, way better than Lalibela where is more expensive and not as flavorful. Falafel lunch sandwich for 2.99 cant be beat!
WATCH out for the "coffee cake/tiramisu" it is NOT vegan anymore although they keep saying it is--the whipped cream is only "non-dairy" clearly that does not mean that its vegan.
great food and nice setting just a little pricey--defenitely a special occasion place or a take the whole family place. but good food overall!!
nice place and cool atmosphere but they have been out of vegan baked goods lately :(
call me i will make them for you!!
this place SUCKS. there are no vegan options--unless i want a salad and its WAYYY overpriced
its alright, but pretty pricey for not actually ebing a restaurant (i do like the counter ordering though, just wish some of the prices were lower). Also, the Soynamis need MORE toppings in them, im paying % bucks and they are stingy with the flavors :(
For the price and the amount of vegan things available you can spend it somewhere else.
1st of all it toek forever for our food when we finally oredered. The waiter didnt even know about vegan and wasnt sure what was in what!
Also, everything is fried and greasy. I wouldnt go back.
GROSS atmosphere very cold and dingy with the employees looking at you like you are a wierdo. Also, the same people/cult as The Veg House in Phoenix which use dairy and eggs in their desserts---and who knows what else!! dont trust this place.
great food but WAAAAYYY too overpriced.
and last i checked....honey is not vegan :(
I disagree with the other review, being part middle eastern myself I love the food, think its well priced and very authentic.
For vegans I just order a few appetizers, its more than enough for a meal and if you are with someone else you can get the falafel sandwich and share a couple appetizers like the hummus, tabouli, fool modemas or grape leaves.
my FAVORITE restaurant in ARIZONA!
Order the massman curry with tofu and add broccoli!
the silver bean noodles are yummy too!
My only complaint is the outrageous xtra chanrge for brown rice!
used to be good but the guy basrista is not friendly, makes it too bitter--or maybe that is the espresso fault. and what happened to all the VEGAN BAKED goods???
I am not sure why my review was deleted. I am very fair and open-minded when it comes to food. This place was NOT accomidating and flat out rude. They also have some items which are NOT vegan, but the menu says meat and dairy free on the front. I will not go back.
I wish this place was in Phoenix! it blows our veg restaurants out of the water!
the jamican jerk burger is the BEST veggie burger ever made! the specials they have are usually rellay good, the breaskfasts are amazing! and dont forget dessert:)
nice date night plate. im vegan and it was pretty easy to order just pasta with red sauce, etc. also the gnocci with brocolli and just an olive oil sauce was amazing! dishes come with salad. they have a big selection of wines. defenitley a nice sit down place .
DELICIOUS baked goods and vegan!
great breakfast burritos--dont skip this--they are AWESOME and a good value for the money.
i like everything i have tried in the bakery, the sandwiches, breakfast, and the refrigerated prepared foods especially the raw dips!
WOW! this was deliciuos! they lady was so nice giving us free samples! the chocolate maca shake was heavenly and the hummus was amazing! everything was really so good! and i bought the $15 truffles they sell there! i would defenitely go back! t
every time i go they are closed! now i think they closed for good! :( i never got to try it
The place was really hip, very small. I like california vegan on sunset better but i would recommend this place as well! also, they deliver!
yellow chicken---MMMM! we also had the fried rice soup, my boyfriend says this is the best vegan food he ever had! we were there in january and going back this weekend! we live in arizona!
Had the neatloaf and the enchiladas and they were yummy! We also had a beet, carrot, apple juice and the chocolate cheesecake for dessert. It was the best raw food by far!
WOW! i was very impressed. at first i couldn't find this place and was then intimidated with the old building and sketchy area. BOY was I wrong to try and judge the food based on this. I had the panang red curry with tofu and another tofu and vegetable dish. They were WONDERFUL! On the list for the best Thai food I have ever had!
Not too impressed with vegan options AT ALL! the hummus was ok, it was lacking lemon juice and had too much tahini in my opinion.
I went expecting a small middle eastern-ethnic cafe, instead i got this kinda fancy americanized greek place
Didn't get to try the restaurant but was in the store. I did not like the way it was set up--very difficult to find anything. I bought a Kombucha it was SOOO overpriced! At $4.45, i usually get these around $3.
I bought a vegan raspberry brownie and it was HORRIBLE! It tasted like chalk. The old woman at the register was SOOO unfriendly, i never want to go back.
SUCH a cute little old-do nut shop feel to this place! We bought 2 dozen and wanted to go back to get more but they close early :(
they were DELICIOUS! I had the chocolate and a chocolate cream and an apple-burrito thing that was out of this world! My boyfriend's favorite was the apple, the cinnamon and chocolate cream! Next time I'm in Vegas this will be my FIRST and LAST stop!
SOOO average--AT BEST! their so called "chocolate" cupcakes are so bland and are a shadow of what chaocalte should be.
They are also rude and snooty there (they are NOT actuall vegan friendly in spirit) and acted insulted that we would ask how to get to Mooshoes (which is just 5 min away) as if they dont have similar clientele.
I was defenitely dissapointed with this place, my boyfriend and I wont be going back, thats the unfortunate truth.
We were a party of 6 with only myself being the fully vegan one--EVERYONE loved this place. it was amazing, yes, its pricey but for the atmosphere and/or special occasion its TOTALLY worth it
