My favorite place for vegetarian sushi is this tiny restaurant in the Mission. Judy makes it very comfortable with her friendly waitressing and great music selections, while her mom prepares the delicious food in the kitchen. Be prepared for a long meal, as all of the food delicately prepared by a single chef takes time. But it's worth it if you're in good company, right? They have such interesting and complex rolls: the veggie "eel" (you gotta try it!) and avocado, the playfully-titled Randy Roll (filled with marinated mushrooms) and the veggie tempura roll wrapped in avocado are a few examples. I enjoy appetizers such as the veggie gyoza and the simple desserts presented after the meal. Be sure to check out the fish tank inspired bathroom!
