UPDATE: Sadly, this establishment has closed.

I tried the vegan italian sausage with ketchup, mustard, and relish and the "Bun Burner" (vegan chipotle dog with all sorts of toppings) and they were both good. There are three different kinds of vegan dogs, but you can change things up by choosing different buns/toppings.

The service was indifferent, but the place was clean, and the food was worth the stop.

I'll definitely be going back again.

Amazing! I have been coming to Freeman's for a year or two now, and I always get a friendly welcome and delicious food. One of the owners, Noelle, knows my "special" (the wholly dog) and always asks me how my day is going, etc. By the way, this restaurant is family owned, by a couple with an adorable child who is sometimes playing in the children's corner of the place. This is the go-to spot for my friends and I--very hip for us kids, haha. (I am 18.) The location is convenient, near downtown, with parking on the street or in the back. It's great to walk to from the river, the ice rink, the Pioneer Center, the Knitting Factory, or Virginia St. in general.

As for the food, it's delicious! Whoever is working is always prepared to recommend a dog, tell you what's in it, or create the dog you dream of. There's amazing specials (I've tried the Unicorn and the Especial), and I always wish they were regulars. There's a great natural drink selection, and vegan cookies and brownies. All the sauces are vegan. Basically, this is my favorite restaurant in town. The only thing that could be better is a wider selection of foods. I love hot dogs, but perhaps I want some fries on the side, maybe a veggie burger once in a while! But overall, my favorite place, and if you're a vegan in Reno, you MUST make this place a regular!
