Veg-friendly Asian and American food

Restaurant, Coffee/Tea/Juice

Mark's Kitchen is a small, neighborhood restaurant with an unusually large number of vegetarian items on the menu.

The menu has a separate vegetarian section and vegan items include grilled tofu, stuffed acorn squash, spinach tofu cakes, and various rice and noodle dishes, soups, and salads. Most breakfast items contain egg but they do have a tofu scramble. Mark's also has an extensive juice menu.

Mark's Kitchen takes reservations (except for mid-day Saturday and Sunday), but reservations are not usually necessary.

Mark's Kitchen is especially community focused and serves the community by sponsoring regular monthly restaurant benefits to support local non-profit organizations and institutions that serve Takoma Park residents. These benefits are generally held on the third Tuesday of each month. In connection with these benefits, Mark's Kitchen usually donates 15% of the day's sales to the participating organization.

My favorite vegan food in the area. Delicious and fresh. Only a portion of the menu is vegan (more is vegetarian) but the variety means the choices are not boring. Soy milkshakes and a couple of vegan desserts too.
