Veg-friendly restaurant.

Decent number of vegetarian choices on this menu, but many items have cheese or cream. Guitarist Wednesday to Saturday. Seating is in a tree-covered courtyard where the art covered walls act as a gallery.

Wish I could be more positive, really. The ambient is lovely, the waiter very attentive and sweet, but the food is awfully bland. First time I tried the veggie fajitas which were drowned in some sort of oil and overcooked to the point that it was impossible to separate the flavors. I went back hopeful and hungry as Merida doesn't exactly offer a lot of vegan alternatives. This time I tried the rice with mushrooms. Even when doused with far more soy sauce than I would normally use, it still didn't taste like anything. The cold drinks, jamaica the first time and horchata the second, were simply delicious.

This restaurant has a nice setting, but i was unimpressed by the food and the portions were small for the price. I had the enchilada with soya (TVP) minus the cheese and cream. I also had the Eggplant with curry minus the cheese. It might be worth the bus ride out to some other restaurants.
