I went to Bulan last night and loved my experience! I happened to come across the place by chance, and was glad I did. Bulan proudly advertises outside of their restaurant that they do not serve meat of any kind (including fish) or use MSG in any of their dishes. We started out with the Summer Rolls, which were packed full of great fresh veggies and served with a delicious, slightly spicy peanut dipping sauce. My dinner buddy got the Pad See-Ew (made vegan without eggs), which was pretty good, though pretty average for that kind of noodle dish. I got the Kang Kiew Wan, a sweet green curry, and loved it! The spices were blended perfectly in the coconut milk, in my opinion, and I was able to get the dish made with pumpkin instead of any of the tofu or fake meats. My only complaint is that Bulan charges extra for rice with all of their dishes (brown rice was $1.50 more), even their curries, which definitely need rice. At least the prices are low enough to start that the overall price is still reasonable. We ended dinner with the coconut ice cream (all of Bulan's desserts are vegan), which was a perfect, sweet, creamy end to a delicious meal.
