National natural food chain store

Whole Foods came to Pittsburgh a few years ago, somewhat revitalizing the area where it was built (on the border of Shadyside and East Liberty).

You can find a lot of vegan and natural food packaged products here, plus organic and conventional produce.

The hot buffet bar is the best I've ever had. I'm not a picky eater and so this helps me try new foods. The sushi is a tad over priced, but it's worth the splurge when I go there. Lastly, the deserts taste just as good as they look.

East Liberty

Whole Foods is right on the border of East Liberty and Shadyside. It is on Centre Avenue, between Negley Ave and Penn Ave.

The 71A bus can drop you off at the corner of Centre and Negley, just 3 blocks west of Whole Foods. The 71C and 500 can both drop you off at or near Penn and Highland, just a 5 minute walk away.

The EBO, EBA, EBS, and EBX all go by the Negley and East Liberty Stations, both of which are relatively close, as well.
