Farmers Market at PSU

This Farmers Market, located in the South Park Blocks at PSU, is huge and filled with good stuff: veggies, herbs, fruits, flowers, vegan gelato, dips and spreads, breads and pastries, oils, jams, etc, including organic produce. Black Sheep, a vegan baking company, also has a stand with a wide variety of vegan baked goods!

The market is covered with trees, so even when it's really hot out, being there is very bearable. There are tables to sit at too and lots of space on the grass if you want to rest for a bit before looking at more yummy stuff. Check out their web site for special events taking place every Saturday.

The Market is open from the first Saturday in April to the second Saturday in December from 8:30am to 2pm August-October and 9:30 to 2pm in November and December.

Friendly, local people selling my delicious produce. I scored some peaches and some cherries. The cherries didn't last too long.... I ate them all in one sitting.

This market is huge and there is a ton of good stuff. For the first stuff half an hour I just wondered aimlessly sampling free stuff. There was so much to sample! I bought a bunch of fruits and veggies that tasted really good and were reasonably priced. It's also nice to chat with the farmers and find out more about how the difference between the various artichokes they sell, learn how to cook their special mushrooms, or hear stories about their cherries. I like Dave's Killer Bread, and the vegan baked goods are yummy too.
