I have to say that while I've really enjoyed my meals at the West Village location, I wasn't particularly impressed with my meal at the UES location this afternoon. My dining partner and I started with the curry masala and roti appetizer, which I've had before and liked. I liked it again today (very flavorful) but there are two problems with it: 1) you get a big bowl of the masala curry and only one roti so you have a LOT of curry left over, and 2) the curry is VERY thin, it's like a soup, so it's difficult to eat w/ the roti and you end up eating it with a spoon.
For my entree, I had the butternut squash risotto ($18) which was WAY overpriced. The flavor was somewhat bland and the rice was too chewy. Additionally, the portion size was very small for an $18 price. I also tried the Vietnamese street noodles and really liked the flavor but also think $15 was too much for the small dish which was mostly just noodles.
In my experience, the lunch portions are a much better deal so I'll stick to that in the future.
