Has vegan udon

Restaurant, Bar

This place isn't exceptionally vegan-friendly, but it is more so than most Japanese restaurants. They have a few vegetarian udon dishes, including zaru udon (but the dipping sauce is fishy) and they can make vegan yaki udon (stir-fried noodles).

They also have some other vegetarian dishes like udon with egg and deep fried avocado-cream cheese rolls.

However, you'll either need someone who speaks Japanese or happen to be there on a night when one of the staff is English-friendly in order to negotiate ordering.

The food I had was great, but I think this was mostly because we were lucky enough to go on a night when there was a waiter who was quite fluent in English, and he was extremely helpful in getting us vegan food. The yaki udon was delicious, but I doubt that it's normally vegan.

If you speak some Japanese, you can probably get some good vegan udon too, or if you're lucky someone there will speak English.
