Vegan cafe with relaxing atmosphere and great views


This cafe serves 3 options for lunch/dinner set meals, vegan muffins, raw tarts, coffee, tea, draft beer and wine. Located on the Kamo riverside, the casual, quiet ground floor space has an open kitchen, comfortable wooden tables, and seating at a long counter facing the river. There are natural food and body care products for sale. Service is quick and there is an English menu. Baked (or raw dessert) items are displayed next to the cash register with English labels. Prices are moderate.

Menu and ambiance: very peaceful , with lovely views of the river and the cafe's herb window boxes , Veg Out has 3 sets; taco rice, curry, vegan quiche . Each comes with deli side dishes and green salad. Coffee , tea, draft beer or wine are available ; cookies, granola bars , aromatherapy scents and other natural food and body care products are sold at the entrance ; there's a baked goods case with muffins and raw tart , cake .

Location: easy to find on the west side of the bridge over Kamo river, Shichi oji dori , at Keihan Railway station stop. It's the building right at the foot of the bridge .

At the Keihan railway Shichiiyo station stop , on west side of Kamo river bridge . Tamisa Yoga and Kin Khao Asian restaurant are in the same building . It's only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto main station, along Shichiijo -dori and is close to Sanjusangendo temple & Kyoto National museum.
