Lebanese food with pleasant ambiance

La Luna is a pleasant Lebanese restaurant near Hess Village. Although dress is casual, the restaurant has a semi-formal feel to it. The trick to eating vegetarian there is to order lots of appetizers and salads. They're about $5 each and the portions are generous. Unlimited free pita is included. They have hummus, felafel, spicy potatoes, deep fried cauliflower, garlicy mushrooms, and many other tasty treats. The fattoush salad is a must-try if you've never had it before. Reservations might be required during busy peaks or for large groups.

A well established Lebanese restaurant in Hamilton - actually has another location on Concession Street, as well as this one. The food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. I won't order the vegetarian platter again though, as it was relatively expensive and I was still hungry after I'd eaten it. The mushrooms are delicious, and my friend and I used to share the babaganouge, but we ended up fighting over it, so we both order our own now. The salads are delicious, with delicate lemony flavours permiating. Try the fattoush salad. They have a lunch special - salad and sandwich; your choice of any of their salads and a sandwich, which for vegetarians is only the falafel.

I love La Luna! Whenever I find myself in Hamilton, my mouth waters with the thought of their delectable mushrooms that burst with garlic and lemon!
