Middle Eastern Food in the UWM area

A separate portion of the menu is reserved for vegetarian entrees, and several sandwiches, appetizers, soup and salads are vegan. The usual falafel, hummos, and baba ganoush are offered along with couscous, rice, lentil and vegetable dishes. Convenient location for UWM students and open fairly late. Order something filling in just about every price range.

Also features a lunch buffet and serves brunch on Sunday.

Shahrazad was "just ok", in my opinion. The service was excellent; the servers were very attentive and everything was brought out quickly. The food, however, did not blow me away. The falafel was probably the best thing I had, and it was pretty greasy. The lentil soup was overspiced and had an odd flavor. For dinner, I had veggies sauteed in a tomato base over rice - the sauce was extremely salty and oily. The rice was good and I enjoyed their tahini sauce.

Our favorite Middle Eastern Restaurant! The Shakshooka dish is AMAZING! Their falafel is delicious! So are their hummus, baba ghanouj, and tabouli. Great pitas too. Great lentil dish(Mojadra) and really good Couscous platter also. Very friendly service.
