vegan-friendly Lebanese food

L'epicier de L'Orient serves most typical vegetarian/vegan Mediterranean food: hummus and pita, falafel, lentil soup, tabouleh, and also offers a decent selection of boxed/canned/jarred items, including: falafel mix, spices, tahini, eggplant dip, baba ganouj, Turkish delight candy, etc. The prices range from approximately 80-150 pesos per item, making it significantly more expensive than most restaurants, but about average for other Mediterranean restaurants.

The dining room has about 4 tables that can seat approximately 4 people each. While the restaurant is located within a shopping complex, the dining room has a real restaurant feel.

In short: good food but overpriced. It seems like most Mid-Eastern food in Santo Domingo is way overpriced and significantly more expensive than Dominican food (or Chinese food, for that matter), so perhaps the ingredients are just expensive to important and there's no way to get around it.

I had the hummus (150 pesos - about $3), the fava bean salad (200 pesos - about $4), an order of 2 falafel (50 pesos), and an order of pita bread (40 pesos). Everything tasted good but I wouldn't say it was spectacular.
