Afghani vegetarian options that can accomodate vegans. Uses canola oil.

Helmand is an Afghani restaurant named after Afghanistan's longest and most important river. Located in East Cambridge, the Helmand Restaurant's dining room is flanked on one side by a small fireplace, and on the other by a woodburning oven, where the restaurant's famous flatbread is cooked.

I dream of the vegetarian special at Helmands which features kaddo (baked pumpkin), eggplant, okra, spinach, tomatoes and spiced pallow rice. There are seven vegetarian entrees on the menu. All dinners are served with brick oven fired flatbread. I have read reviews of Helmands in Maryland that they can accomodate vegans.
