HOLY COW! I entered this place and thought I'd died and gone to vegan Heaven! If the huge selection of vegan ice creams wasn't enough, I walked to the back of the store and saw a cooler with about 40 different types of vegan ice cream cakes, complete with sprinkles, Hello Kitty toys, and anything a vegan or Kosher kid could ever want. I initially thought the novelty treats (ice cream bars, cookies, etc) were a little pricey, at about $9 a box - and yeah, that is WAY pricier than "traditional" treats you'd buy at a grocery - but a lot of the treats average less than $2 a piece, which is much less than you'd pay for dessert in a restaurant.

I've had Klein's ice cream before and I know that butter pecan is my favorite so I had to go with that. For my second scoop, I got some sort of vanilla-base ice cream with nuts, cookies, carmel, or something. This was just yesterday but I can't remember what was in it but it was fantastic. I also tried the orange swirl, which was really good.

I can't wait until my niece and nephew come to town so I can buy them one of these vegan cakes!
