From the website:Welcome to Casa SaltShaker. We offer a unique dining experience, sharing a table with other guests at our home in Barrio Norte. The setting is casual and the conversation lively. Our food is eclectic home cooking exploring Andean and Mediterranean cuisines. It's all about meeting new friends over good food and wine. A truly "don't miss" experience for both travelers and locals!

While not generally a vegetarian spot, Dan and Henry have always been willing to make vegetarian substitutions for us and our friends, as well as their all-vegetarian meals that pop up every couple of months. We would also not consider it expensive - it may look it at 190 pesos (about 50 dollars), but that includes a five course tasting menu with five matched wines, bottled water, coffee - and no charge on the refills - that's not even in the company of some of the fancy places in town. We go about once every other month and have never had anything but exceptional meals.
