Absolutely THE Best-Kept Secret in Phoenix!

Restaurant, Other

Where in Phoenix can you go to "get away from it all" and yet still be smack dab in the city, surrounded by plush greenery, singing birds, and delectable farm-fresh organic foods growing nearby? At The Farm at South Mountain, of course!

Here, you'll be transported (away from the desert) back to the heartland, to a place reminiscent of back home. (Many of the Phoenix transplants are from the Midwest.) The Farm is an expansive, yet quiet place; replete with big trees, green grass, fresh flowers, free chickens, farm vegetables (growing nearby), and a number of on-site restaurants. There's even a gift shop to boot! And just to the south of property is a stunning, panoramic view of South Mountain park preserve. You could spend a lazy day here and quite possibly forget that you even live in a desert!

On week days and and Saturday, The Farm offers up breakfast meals at the Morning Glory Cafe, and their snack bar is a popular lunchtime destination seven days a week; serving up delicious sandwiches, seasonal salads, and made-from-scratch baked goods. Though, unfortunately, the veg menu is limited.

There's also a farmer's market on weekends; with savory, fresh organic produce right out of the Farm's own Happy Dirt Garden.

The Farm is seasonal, open from the Fall until late Spring.

Click on the link (above) of The Farm's website to get a glimpse of the entire property, and to see all that The Farm offers the people of Phoenix.

From I-10, exit at 32nd St/University and head south toward the mountain (which is 32nd St.) and proceed to just south of Southern Ave. The Farm is on the southwest corner. Parking is at the location and overflow parking (typical on weekends) is across the street.
