I stopped in for a snack this week and ended up getting the sunflower-zucchini hummus. While the menu has a decent number of reasonably-priced entrees, there were very few sides/appetizers and those they did have were a bit expensive.
The hummus on the menu was $3.50, which I thought was a good price for 1/4 c. of hummus and some celery, cucumber, and carrot. However, when I went to be rung up, I was charged $5.50 for the hummus "appetizer", which wasn't actually on the menu. Apparently I had ordered the "scoop of hummus" (not sure why anyone would order a scoop of hummus with no veggies or crackers to go with it), but since the menu had not been updated with the hummus appetizer, the owner only charged me $3.50. I think $5.50 is definitely too much for a small hummus appetizer, especially when most entrees are only $3 more and come with significantly more food.
The owner was exceedingly friendly and brought me some sprouted bread to go with my hummus. I'm not a big fan of raw bread (I find it to be too heavy and moist to serve as bread), but it was a nice gesture and I was happy to sample it. The hummus was very good with veggies and I think it would be even better with flax crackers. Next time I go, I'm going to bring my full appetite because their entree menu looked very appealing and reasonably priced (around $8.50).
Finally, I liked that they had a few dessert options (not raw, but I'm not raw so it works for me) that were only $3. A lot of raw places have only really expensive raw desserts and a lot of non-raw vegan places only offer gigantic slices of cake for around $6, which are usually way too big and too pricey for someone who just wants a small dessert.
