I didn't get to visit that many restaurants in Ponce but of the ones I visited, this was definitely my favorite. They had a number of veg options on the menu (all Western dishes), but I was in the mood for Puerto Rican food so they happily prepared a veggie mofongo, which does not appear on the menu. The waitress was SO nice and very accommodating.

Instead of the usual plantain-based mofongo, I got mine made with yautil, which is a root vegetable native to PR. Inside, they put in a mix of veggies, including broccoli, eggplant, and peppers. They topped it with some toasted yautil chips and included a salad. The food was so beautifully prepared (I attached a picture). I explained to the waitress that I don't eat any meat, eggs, or dairy, and she assured me that none of that was in the mofongo, but after tasting it, I think it had butter in it, so ask ahead if you visit. After she had been so accommodating, I didn't want to give her a hard time about the butter.

Also, this was the only restaurant I visited in Puerto Rico that brought out a free snack to start off the meal. They brought out some crispy garlic bread and an olive platter to snack on and it was just delicious.

Also, SO many restaurants serve food on plastic/styrofoam, or even if they serve on glass dishes and use silverware, they still serve drinks in plastic cups. This place was too classy for that, but were still very affordably priced, which I absolutely loved.
