I agree with the others that there is not much to choose from for vegans, but luckily for us they had the fried buffalo tofu. We had the fried buffalo tofu to start (the sauce comes to dip), and then the sandwich for the menu (sauce, tofu, and vegan cheddar). We went here twice - the first time the server was not very well informed on vegan. We asked 'are the onion rings vegan'. He said yes. I said 'so there is no egg, etc in it?'...", oh yes, there is egg in it". So I was a little hesitant to believe what he said was vegan...but other than that, the food was delicious. Too bad they didn't have any desserts I could eat, but this place provided for us when we went on vacation so it was a great option. Love the fact that they are local (and they were on 'diners, drive ins, and dives') :).

We love pizza luce...we never had it before going vegan so we can't compare. But this is the BEST vegan pizza we've had, hands down. I think I boil it down to the rinotta cheese mix on top...fabulous. We get it with lots of toppings (and we also get the garlic 'cheese' toast appetizer-YUM!). We used to love it even more before they found out their 'veggie meat crumbles' were not vegan. Those were tasty, and unfortunately they haven't found a sub for it yet. This meant that all items containing this are no longer vegan (like the biscuits and gravy), etc. So you might read some reviews before this change happened, but they might not still be avail. Regardless, it's delicious and their service is great. Very knowledgeable on what is and isn't vegan. The menu also states what is and isn't vegan. Overall, we love this place and crave it! Parking is kind of a pain too since it's on the main street. Love the brunch, too!

We were never here when the hot menus were available, but they looked good. We were able to score some great goodies, though, like muffins (really good), and cookies from the 'after hours deli' section I guess you could call it. Home made brownie or chocolate cake in the cooler section was also good. If we spent more time here we could have found a bunch more things I'm guessing. They were a decent co-op and I found things here they don't sell other places so we spent some time browsing the aisles even though we didn't NEED anything else at the time. Worthwhile, as we stopped here at least 3 times on our vacation for a dessert fix.

We absolutely LOVE this place. We live in Rochester, and this is our 'go-to' place. Among our favorites: the pancakes, the Cajun tofu sandwich, the Reuben, smoothies, the fries, the hummus and pita, the breakfast burrito, the African peanut soup, the oat pecan burger, the BLT, the side salad (with vegan ranch!) the list goes on and on. We have yet to have something from the Good Food Deli that was not absolutely delicious. As one reviewer mentioned, the sides are a little lacking unless you buy something additional but my husband and I are usually pretty satisfied when we leave. If we are still hungry, we can always pick up one of their gluten-free vegan ch chip cookies! We cannot say enough about how much we love this place :). Our only 'gripe' is that they close early on Saturday and they aren't open on Sundays.

We tried this place two times. The first time we got a specialty vegan pizza and it was pretty good. We had a coupon and it seemed worthwhile. The second time we ordered out, my non-vegan father suggested pizza. This was a good option because he could get what he wanted and we could get our vegan option. They took forever to cook our order, and when we picked it up and got it home - our 'vegan' pizza with soy cheese came out with real cheese. They made us another one for free, but we had to go back and pick it up (wasting another 20 mins). The pizza was OK as long as you got a lot of tasty veggies like onions, but other than that - nothing too special.

We absolutely LOVED this place. After reading reviews on here we had high expectations and they did not disappoint. We started off with some fried jalapenos with some dipping sauce. They were very hot but soo good. When ordering (we've never been to an Indian restaurant) I looked confused and tried to tell the server what I think I wanted. He said he would 'put something together for me' and it's like he read my mind. I had some spicy chickpea curry dish with this fried pancake like item (sorry, can't remember the name - something like Batali?. The pancake like thing tasted like funnel cake and it was to die for. My husband had some veggie curry item and it was phenomenal. The garlic naan was also very very good. We agreed we would make a special trip back. When packing our 'to go' box, the server even added extra rice at no charge so that we could have enough to share the next day.The ambiance was nice - pretty romantic actually (we went at night) and the service was great. We left feeling very full and satisfied - wanting to go back the next day already :). The prices were reasonable too - we got two dishes and some naan (and pancake thing) for around $25. Very worth it!

I think the food here was fantastic. As one reviewer mentioned, it does take a long time for your food - but that's the nature of raw food in general. We came as a group, and the time didn't seem too long between ordering and when it arrived. We had the 'ravioli' and the tostada I think it was (like a taco). We also had the cheesecake and a cookie. They were both VERY good...but as others mention, didn't seem to fill us up. We would go again, but just haven't found our way there yet. One thing to note, we did get adventurous and try the 'rejuvilac' drink...it was not very good at all....I'm sure their other drinks were great, but I wouldn't recommend this drink :). I do highly recommend the restaurant, though - especially when you have some time to kill.

We've been here a couple of different times. We even drove from Rochester after work on our anniversary to come here, that's how much we loved it. The server knew exactly what was and was not vegan, which gave us some direction. We've had the sweet and sour mock chicken, general tsao mock chicken, Mongolian 'beef', as well as a variety of the appetizers and the home-made soy milk. I have to say that everything we've had here (with the exception of the garlic seaweed knots - just not for us) was fantastic. At some point we stared at the food and said "did we order the non vegan kind?") - it was that deceptively vegan good :). I didn't think I could get good vegan Chinese food any longer. The service was great, but the ambiance could be a little better. We didn't really care since the food was so good, but it was kind of like a grade school cafeteria style with the decor. All in all, we plan to go back here as often as possible to try everything vegan on the menu.

We loved this place. Went for breakfast and then came back for lunch. The waitress was covered in tattoos, but so extremely nice and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. I had the french toast, and my hub had 'pigs' in a blanket. For lunch we both had the mock duck po boy. It was huge, and the best thing we had ever eaten. I had a vegan white russian, and my husband had some craft beer. Both very excellent. I would go back frequently. Very inviting atmosphere, but I could see how it could be intimidating. Go here!! Also, service was pretty darn quick! We were there when they first opened and then around 1ish.

We don't live in Madison, but because of this place we wish we did. The ambiance is so adorable and warm/inviting, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They don't come ask you every 5 mins if everything is OK. The food is outstanding, although the portions are a little small for the price. My husband says he is never full but the desserts kind of make up for it. I love that everything is clearly labeled vegan or not. We've had the crabby cake po boy, the Italian 'beef', the 'pulled pork', the empanada, and the TLT (tempeh lettuce and tomato), as well as their desserts like cheesecake and pineapple upside down cake. They also have great drinks. Everything there is phenomenal - our favorites being the TLT and also their kale crisps (fried kale). We stop every time we go through the city and are sad when we have to leave. So good!

This place didn't have a lot of vegan options, but we were able to get a couple of hummus sandwiches on a couple of different breads. The lady making them was knowledgeable on what was, and was not vegan at least. If I recall, the options were marked too. Nothing overly special, but the sandwich was good. If you are in the area and need some options, it will suffice. I do have to warn you, they also serve a Mexican chocolate cake in the grocery cooler area that is TO DIE FOR. I warn you because now I have cravings for it and I can't get it anywhere else. Mmmmm. Overall, a worthwhile stop since they also had other snack items, toiletry items and the usual co-op options in case we needed something.
