I started as a vegetarian October 2009. I have been eating mostly vegan and raw foods since June 2010 but occassionally still eat vegetarian food.
I used to have high blood pressure and my doctor advised that I incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables in my diet. She suggested that I exercise at least 4 times a week.
After I started eating lots of fruits and vegetables I just stuck with it. I started feeling better and losing weight. I did research on Peta.org and discovered that I was a vegetarian.
I have not eaten meat in 1 yr and will continue not to eat any for the rest of my life.
Since becoming a vegetarian, I have more compassionate for animals rights and no longer have any fears towards animals. I don't fear them any more and view animals as loving, human with feelings and souls.
