Excellent vegan pub food - vegan parma is awesome with generous chips and salad. Also recently had the vegan fish and chips which is the best I've had. My boyfriend doesn't usually like mock fish but he was really impressed too. At last I can go to a pub and have a full menu of dishes to choose from (usually its spagetti napoletana or nothing!) Highly recommended.
I was so excited to find a normal pizza takeaway (in the suburbs no less) that gives customers the option of vegan cheese and vegan salami. While I'd usually have to settle for vegetarian pizza with no cheese (a little boring - let's face it), this time I was able to opt for a capriciosa and just swap the meat and cheese with their vegan replacements. It was really delicious! It would be good if there was a vegan pizza as part of the menu to make the ordering process easier but that's just nit picking really.
La Panella Bakery is one the most incredible places a vego/vegan could hope to find. It looks like any other grubby Preston bakery from the outside, but has the most incredible assortment of fresh vegan bakery goods. The vegan 'meat pies' and sausage rolls are delicious and I think half the people that buy them don't even realise they are vegan. The prices are also really cheap - i think pies are about $2 each. You can also buy vegan jam donuts, vegan jam tarts, vegan apple slices and scrolls that taste no different to their non-vegan counterparts. All the bread and bread rolls etc are vegan too. Well worth the visit!
