Barbara R. Pupak was born in New York City but her heart has always led her to the country. Two decades ago Barbara happily accepted that calling and began exploring North America photographing places few are lucky enough to see.
Although Barbara’s work is sought after throughout the corporate world, her real passion is photographing farm life and our natural environment. She donates much of her time capturing photographs to enhance the efforts of major animal and child welfare organizations nationwide. Organizations like PeTA and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee among others utilize Barbara’s photographs to add empathy and impact as they voice their message to the world. She sees her camera as her weapon to do battle for those in need. Whether human or animal life her photographs have proven to be ample ammunition.
Barbara expresses gratitude every day to have found her true life’s passion. She says that discovering what mark your life is supposed to leave on this earth allows you total commitment to a cause and that, she feels, is a gift.
Barbara earned a degree in photography and studied fine art, graphic design and journalism. She currently resides in Hendersonville, TN with her husband Lee and their puppy mill rescues, Bijou and Monet and their newest rescue Karma.
