I've only been here about 3 times, and only for breakfast and dinner, so my review may not be all that reliable. They have very few vegan items for breakfast unless you want to eat bread. Dinner is definitely overpriced, but salads were tasty. Last time we went the bread was stale, which I thought was really strange for a place that calls itself a "bakery."
The service is slow and sometimes forgetful; they don't have many vegetarian choices, but I keep going back again and agin to order the exact same thing. Why? Their hot salsa is addictive. I always order the vegetarian burrito with an extra side of this flavorful sauce. Yum! Even though they don't have a lot of vegetarian choices, the burrito comes out different every time I order it. Sometimes it has a lot of random vegetables like peas and carrots. Sometimes it is laced with a heaping helping of tasty guacamole. Other times it is heavy on the rice and a little disappointing. The veggie fajitas are also tasty, but a tad greasy. BTW, the atmosphere has changed since earlier reviews and is 2-3 times the size with comfortable booths, clean bathrooms, and lots of crazy stuff on the walls to look at.
This is definitely one of the BEST restaurants in the Twin Cities! This South Indian restaurant consistently serves up interesting and delicious food. The appetizer sampler platter and the channa batura are my favorites - very filling. I've been there at least 10 times or more and I've always found the service to be excellent. No one has ever pushed food or drinks on me and I can barely take a drink of water without someone coming over to refill my glass. This is very important when eating spicy food! Try their lunch buffet sometime which has a seemingly endless array of choices for a taste adventure. The prices are reasonable considering the food and service.

I really like Emily's Lebanese Deli. Their lentils and rice may sound bland and boring, but it is one of the best comfort foods. They also serve very tasty Baba Ganouj (a rich smoky eggplant dip). I agree with the other reviews that the tabouli and spinach pies are also delicious. The wood paneled atmosphere leaves something to be desired and the service is not usually friendly, but there's always take-out.
