I think that this place has great sandwiches. I particularly liked the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (a very generous size), however the last time we ordered we also got a size of "curly french fries" and they were limp, and uncooked and generally pretty disgusting. For $4.50, you would think that they would at least make an attempt to make fries at that prize edible. So, I think they're sandwiches are a go, and fries no so much.
I live around the corner from Kate's Joint, so probably end up there more than I would if it were not so convenient. However, I believe that their Karin's Burger is great, if not a little bit too salty, as are their nachos (I've only had the dairy nachos). The nachos are amazing and fresh and very generous in the amount. My boyfriend and I usually split the nachos and a burger and are content with the amount of food.. The McKate was recommended by our waiter and was nothing in comparison.
Further, other than the fantastic food that keeps you coming back, the wait staff does leave a bit to be desired. Our waitress left constantly for cigarette breaks and to talk on her cell phone; the only other waitress appeared totally uninterested in helping us...they could have had an off day. I would recommend sitting in the bar area if you have a choice, the staff is much more friendly and the ambiance more inviting.
I moved from BK where I had my go-to Thai food and since moving to the East VIllage had a hard time finding fantastic Thai Food, especially vegetarian. My boyfriend who eats meat, firmly agrees, that this is the best Thai food we've had. The Pad Se Ew is fantastic as is the Veggie Fried Rice, the Glass Soup and Coconut soup are tasty and their Veggie Rolls fantastic.
Highly recommend for veggie, vegans and their meat-eating friends.
I just love this place. I think that they have fantastic burgers. Also, I love their fresh veggie juice (my personal fav is beet, celery and carrot juice). Delivery is always fast, however, I the delivery min. (I believe that it's $15) is a bit steep. We love the Swiss Mushroom Burger and the Fire Rock Burger. Also, it's if you substitute a salad for fries they are large and very fresh. Also, I like the Chipotle Chik'n Sandwich Dinner (but with the chipotle sauce on the side, I think it gets overwhelming).

I think this place is a bit of crap shoot. I got a fantastic Burrito Monoski (though extraordinarily expensive; $20)--but really one of the best that I've had and my boyfriend got (and the waiter recommended) the worst pasta dish I have ever experienced; or entree for that matter. It literally had no flavor. I would recommend before going ask around for good options, because it's pretty depressing to pay upwards of 18 dollars for an entree that slithers around on your plate with no flavoring. The greens were fantastic and very generous and the veggie juice frothy and delicious.
