Well, they didn't have too many vegan options, but the food i did have, hashbrowns with veggies and tofu, was excellent! Also the atmosphere is great and the staff, the couple of times that I've been there, have been really helpful and friendly. Next time I'm in Duluth again, I'll definitely stop in and grab a bite to eat.

They had a good number of vegan options on the menu. I had a tempeh sandwich that I really enjoyed. Also, a large portion of their food is sourced locally which is something I wholeheartedly support.

On top of all that, they support great organizations and their restaurant interior was built from recycled materials.

I'd give them a Great review, rather than Good, if they just had a bunch more vegan options on the menu...but still, it's worthwhile to check it out and support what they're doing with this joint.

Awesome Co-op. They have tons of great organic veggies and fruits, as well as a great bulk foods section where you can pick up granola, pasta, and almost anything else you'd want in bulk. It's a large co-op where you can pick up everything you need to keep yerself fed.

Not to be missed!

First off, the co-op is great. They have a HUGE bulk foods section, where you can get just about anything you'd want. They have produce, bread, and all kinds of packaged foods as well.

The only downside is that their produce section is quite small and could use some expanding and care.

Now, as for the ALL VEGAN deli...HELL YEAH!! Their sandwiches are great and they have a bunch of different options and ways you can customize your meal. Finally, they have a number of quality smoothies to choose from...I've liked all of the ones I've tried so far.

Great co-op with everything organic you need to fill yer belly. They've got bulk foods, packaged foods, and a solid selection of produce as well.

This place is bad when it comes to vegan options. They have a few, but not too many...and honestly, most of the options are pretty bland.

I do like the atmosphere, and they have a wicked juke box, so it's worth checking out for those things, but they definitely could improve their food choices and cater more to the surrounding community. I'd go here if I'd exhausted my other options and just needed to find a place quickly nearby...or if I wanted to listen to some good music on the juke while having a cup of tea.

Well, I like that they source lots of local organic ingredients. And the atmosphere is great. The problem is that they have hardly any vegan foods at all. Their french fries are some of the best in town, but beyond that, there just ain't much for a vegan to eat at this joint.

Nice atmosphere, good vegan food, good bowling. Not too shabby, so if yer in the neighborhood, stop in for a bite and I'm sure you'll enjoy the food and have a good time.

Great atmosphere, interesting decor/art on the walls. They offer a selection of vegan baked goods from hard times, and they have a couple of vegan sandwiches too. I wish they had more sandwich options, but alas...

I love that they source local organic ingredients, compost their food, and use recycled paper products. This place is really forward looking and ethical when in it comes to certain things.

But what I don't like, is that NONE of the bagels are vegan (they all contain honey) and they hardly have any other vegan options on the menu. Yeah, sometimes they have a vegan soup, sometimes they have a vegan baked item, and sometimes they might be able to make a vegan sandwhich, but those times are few and far between. If yer a vegan, call ahead to see what they have at that moment, or don't bother.

The food is a bit pricey if yer lookin for cheap eats, but it's damned good stuff. They have 100% raw vegan food and it tastes great. Definitely worth your time!!

Great food and large portions. You definitely get your money's worth at this place. They have excellent Vegan options and they bring fresh green tea out with every meal.

Can't be beat.

they say that when bob dylan first met johnny cash, he just walked around him like a big tree, looked up at him and said, "Yeah."

That's what I said when i first saw Fast and Furless.

They have awesome vegan pastries and great food all around. It's a bit expensive for minneapolis, but you sure get yer money's worth.

Go for breakfast and get the vegan pancakes...you won't be dissapointed, I'll tell you that much.
Go for lunch or dinner too.

Local. Organic. Sustainable. Tremendously vegan friendly. They even deliver pizza in electric cars while dressed up in super hero duds. What more can I say? Do or die!

Don't expect gourmet cuisine. That's not what Hard Times is about. It's a greasy spoon kinda place. And damn do they serve it up right! I highly recommend the falafel platter or a vegan burrito. Hard Times is also great because it's collectively run, so you know you're supporting the workers directly rather than supporting some kind of hierarchical system in which the boss at the top lives large while the workers at the bottom scrape by.

You don't find many places like this... check it out!

BEST HUMMUS, BEST FALAFEL, hands down!!

OH YEAH!! Don't wait, go there now!

The lunch buffet is GREAT!

Well, I prefer their sister restaurant, the Jasmine Deli, but I have to say, this place has really good food too. It's a bit more expensive than the Jasmine deli, but I got my money's worth and even had to bring some home to finish later. Also, the family that owns the place is really nice and very attentive to your needs and questions.

Ultimately, I think the Jasmine Deli has better vegan options, especially when it comes to sandwiches...but still, this place is worth checking out for the friendly service and tasty food.

Hell yeah! I love Jasmine deli...late at night when I'm in the mood for some great vegan soup it's just the place. They give you a huge bowl of soup and it tastes great...sometimes I can't even finish the whole thing so I have to take some home with me. I also really love their sandwiches, particularly the mock duck sandwich.

Great vegan deli and juice bar. Solid organic produce section as well as packaged foods, frozen foods, and body care items.

They also run the Linden Hills home store across the street, which has quality organic and fair trade items for the home (they carry environmentally friendly paints for example).

I'm not a big fan of this joint. They don't have many vegan options and most of the vegetarian options offer cheese as the main ingredient, so getting them without cheese is like getting a stick of cardboard for dinner. I'd say the one thing they have going for them is that they're always open.

And the chips w/guacamole are usually worthwhile, but other than that I'd say enter at your own risk.

Good atmosphere with great vegan pastas, sandwiches, and pizzas!

I'm not a big fan of this place. With the GARGANTUAN selection of Organic Foods Co-ops as well as Independent natural foods stores in the Twin Cities, I see very few reasons to ever shop at Trader Joe's. Their organic options are pitiful, they're extremely wasteful in the way they package foods, the prices aren't that great, and I've even seen organic foods mixed in with conventional foods at their stores...that's not cool.

Avoid this place like the plague.

Great Vegan hotdogs and burgers, coupled with the best fries in town make this place the real deal. If yer lookin for a greasy spoon joint then this aught to fill the bill quite nicely.

Well, considering that there aren't many other options around this area for good organic foods, this place is great in context. They have a really solid produce section, as well as good frozen foods and lots of great organic natural soaps and body care products. What they could also use is a good bulk section with things like beans, pastas, granola, and baking goods (flour, sugar, etc.).

But, if yer in the area, or if you live in the area, definitely stop in and get some goods. The food they carry is always of excellent quality.

Great atmosphere, attentive staff, good vegan eats. You can't go wrong here!

Definitely check it out if yer in Milwaukee.
