This is the closest co-op to me, and also the biggest health foods store i've ever been in. They have a great selection of items, and pretty decent pre-made vegan food (which is clearly marked). I stop everytime we are in stillwater.
They have tons of hard candy flavors to choose from. Me and my boyfriend both got a dark chocolate nut cluster and peanut brittle - which were really good! Place is a tad pricey, but worth a stop!
I went here last week with 3 of my friends (I actually got it confused with a different ethiopian place). The food was very expensive - our total bill was $84 and half of us left still hungry. Our waitress was extremely slow. She checked and said all of the vegetarian menu items were vegan (sans yogurt). I asked about the baklava which she also said was vegan. My friend had that and she said there was definitely honey all over it. The food was okay, but not worth the money.
The place was pretty much empty when we went, but it was super nice inside, although at our booth I could feel the wooden struts holding up the "fancy" rug/back thing.
There are way better places to eat in this neighborhood.
I've been to this place three times now. It's WONDERFUL! The creamcheese wontons are awesome, and my favorite dish is the stuffed beancurd. The food is averaged priced, leaning towards the cheaper side.
The shop is super cute, having different paintings every time I go in. The waitstaff is very nice and friendly! They have a complete 2 sided separate menu just for vegans (so much to choose from!). Afterwards we always walk around the neighborhood-there are a bunch of cute stores.
This place is definitely recommended!!
I have been here on several occassions, and love it! It's all you can eat, but i've never been able to go back for seconds (so filling!). They bring out rice and this AMAZING sweetbread (which I asked, and is vegan!). We even ordered an extra bag to take home.
You pick out your food, same as a buffet, and make your own sauce. Wait in line to bring it up where they cook it right in front of you (either with or without peanuts). While they do cook it on the same "stove" as the other meat dishes, you can clearly see they clean it off between meals, and it doesn't get close to touching the other food being cooked (i wouldn't tolerate it if it did, or bother coming back).
Always a reliable awesome place to go!
I go here everytime I visit my mom's house. They have really great smoothies (made with - actual fruit! that they juice right there to order). They have raw vegan treats also, I've had a few of the desserts (cream cheez brownie was awesome!) and have also bought some raw nuts. My only complaint would be that they are a little pricey. Definitely worth a stop though!
