ET's is my favorite stop for lunch on my way to work. Their hot bar options and soups are amazing, and they always have vegetarian dish available. The premade sandwiches are also fabulous (I recommend the Goddess Tofu Wrap). Recently, the hot bar started featuring Ethiopian Cuisine from Nile.

Ellwood's also rewards you for being a conscious consumer. If you bring your own bag for groceries, they offer discounts. If you ride your bike or walk to the store instead of driving, sometimes they offer discounts! I wish the prices were cheaper considering the college budget, but it's worth it for the quality of food products available.

I've been eating at Harrison St. for a few years now, and I have to say that I am never disappointed. The staff is amazingly courteous, and the food is generally quite fast. I always order the BBQ Tofu Sandwich, and I have never found a substitute for that dish anywhere else. They also have some of the best soups everyday for a reasonable price. The vegan blondies are amazing as well as the other vegan dessert options. Most vegetarian food can be a matter of taste, but even for the non-veggies I know, they eat at Harrison St. The menu is also incredibly specific for which items can be made available vegan, or which ones are not vegan to begin with (for example, fakin' has eggs in it). Thanks Harrison St!

Mock chinese food is readily available in the Richmond area luckily. Panda veg, however, has some of the best mock dishes around. They also serve a variety of vegetables not largely available in most chinese food restaurants (the lotus root dish is amazing!). The owner is amazingly courteous and explains the ingredients used in all the dishes if you ask. They also serve brown rice as an option with their dishes. The best part, however, is the buffet. Delicious miso soup, mock beef and broccoli, sauteed tofu. You can't miss with this place! The outside looks small, but there's always plenty of room!
