This place is great! Granted, I haven't been in about three years, but I used to go here all the time when I lived on the East side of the Lake. Small hole in the wall, but the smoothies are so wonderful and great for hangovers! The sandwiches are good too. Due to religious belief they do not directly handle money...so don't be weirded out if they ask you to place your own money in the register and grab your own change.
The food at New World is so yummy. They have a very eclectic menu that includes Asian cuisines as well as American comfort food type dishes done up Veg.
The one big downside to NW is the atmosphere. There is a weird vibe that is hard to articulate, so unfortunately, I don't find this at the top of my list of restaurants to go to, even though the food is yummy.

I really like this restaurant. I wish I was around during the week to take advantage of their lunch specials, but typically I go at night. The prices are a bit higher than I'd like, but I've also been going to GL for six or so years and remember it when it was cheaper. Lots of fake meat dishes. My favorites are the Lotus salad and Teriyaki Chicken dish. I don't like the Sweet and Sour chicken or Lemon chicken dishes just because the "meat" pieces are mostly breading.
