Great story about my 31st birthday:

While we were waiting over 15 minutes for a server to come back to our table of 4 (just for the drink order), a young lady was trying desperately to get into a bathroom but it was occupied. So she threw up right next to our table. No one really rushed over to clean it up. (although an employee did come over to check on her, which was a good thing.)

We couldn't take the smell, so we ended up going to an outdoor table. I don't like eating outdoors at a restaurant to start with, especially not on a busy street. We finally placed our order. 20 minutes after we placed it, our server came back to tell us they were out of what my dad ordered (some kind of porridge). After he changed his order our food came in about 1/2 an hour. The chips accompanying my guacamole were very broken, so I asked for a new order. I was charged for them.

This was the worst experience I had there, but whenever I eat there there is a consistent theme: slow service, although it is usually friendly. They make every meal to order so it takes a long, long time.

The last time I went there was also one of the most pleasant... the first date with my boyfriend, we got a secluded table and good service and were out in about an hour and a half.

I enjoy raw vegan food. That is why I've been to ecopolitan so many times. I love going to a vegan restaurant because you never have to worry about what could end up in your food.

Eden pizza offers a great variety of toppings for their pizza. They have a good selection of vegetarian specialty pizzas, and they are also willing to substitute mock duck for any meat. (If you haven't tried mock duck on a pizza or think it sounds weird, trust me, it's wonderful!)

Their namesake and specialty, The Eden Pizza, is fantastic and worth finding this little hole-in-the-wall for. It comes topped with Garlic Sauce, Apple, Green, Red & Yellow Peppers, Garlic, Onion and Gorgonzola.

I could easily go through many of their pizzas that way; they are all unique, and very delicious.

My favorite falafels.

They have especially good veggie sandwiches and soups, when they have them. I can't always figure that out, even though I used to volunteer there I am still as clueless as anyone.

I wish they would post something.

But mostly, it is a very veg friendly place both to eat and to do grocery shopping.

Jay's has excellent food, and they are always accommodating of both vegetarianism and kids. (My two big requirements!) They will adjust just about anything on there menu for you.

I have only been there on the weekend, but I'm dying to try out a dinner, because they have a portabella dinner that sounds delish!

I really enjoy eating at this location of Pizza Luce, except when I am seated by the window. (There are huge windows at the front, and it gets very cold there in the winter.)

I always enjoy pizza luce, because at least half of their pizzas are vegetarian. Of course, I always get the same thing: mashed potato pizza. It's the best pizza in the whole world!

Open on Thanksgiving, which is the only reason I went!

I think the other reviews sum it up much better than I could. It's definitely a very good veggie choice in Dinkytown.

My food was overcooked and the service was very unimpressive. We did have a large group (11 people) but our server had so many other tables that she couldn't keep up with everything. It was very busy there, even though it was a Thursday night, although I believe they are generally busy and should've been adequately staffed.

I tried 3 other dishes and they were all amazing. I think that this is a very good restaurant for take away food if you live in the area, but I don't recommend going with a large group.

FANTASTIC! I couldn't believe their menu. We were all very pleased especially with the Faux Boy which I think might be the best veggie sandwich I ever had in my life.

I will go to this place every time I go to Milwaukee, guaranteed. Even though my son complains about the smoke.
