The BBQ tofu sandwich is delicious, but I haven't found many other items on the menu that looked all that exciting to me. I need to go back and try some more things though.
This is one of our favorite "fast-food" choices in the Mission. I always order the bbq seitan cheesesteak, "no cheese, no mayo". My girlfriend Erin loves the "veggie works". Tastes great both fresh and after sitting around overnight.

My favorite place for vegetarian sushi is this tiny restaurant in the Mission. Judy makes it very comfortable with her friendly waitressing and great music selections, while her mom prepares the delicious food in the kitchen. Be prepared for a long meal, as all of the food delicately prepared by a single chef takes time. But it's worth it if you're in good company, right? They have such interesting and complex rolls: the veggie "eel" (you gotta try it!) and avocado, the playfully-titled Randy Roll (filled with marinated mushrooms) and the veggie tempura roll wrapped in avocado are a few examples. I enjoy appetizers such as the veggie gyoza and the simple desserts presented after the meal. Be sure to check out the fish tank inspired bathroom!
I do almost all of my grocery shopping here, and I think it is simply amazing, probably the best co-op I've ever come across. It is all vegetarian. The selection is huge, so I can find pretty much everything I need. I feel good supporting this place.

This fast food place has become a favorite when I am down in Pasadena DJing. It is a take-out place, with several outdoor tables if you want to eat there. We love to kick back a few of the delicious hot dogs, probably some of the best I have ever tasted, and the veggie chili and chicken sandwhich are quite good as well. My friend loves the shakes and air fries too. Prices are cheap! My only complaints are the huge buns and overabundance of sprouts on many of their sandwiches.
