We ended up going here 3 times in the 2 weeks we spent in Singapore. Very pleased with the set menu and buffet. Meals were delicious but don't expect too much from staff/volunteers. On our first visit I hadn't decided what I wanted from the menu when my partner had already ordered. Once decided I tried to get someones attention 5 minutes later, only to be ignored continuously from the 4 or more staff that were working. When food was brought to the table, I tried ordering then, got a nod from the server and then my meal never ended up arriving. I gave up and learned my lesson for future visits.

Just okay - menu sounded a lot more exciting than it was. Teas were lovely and food was enjoyable but nothing special, especially for the price.

I have to agree - excellent vegan pub grub!! I've gobbled up the vegan parma, vegan cheeseburger and vegan fettuccine. All three were very tasty and very filling - I struggled to get through each of them - something that doesn't happen often!

They also have a number of vegan desserts on the menu annnnd I never thought I'd be the girl to turn down vegan cheesecake (with different flavors available!!!) but each time I've eaten here I've had absolutely no room for dessert. Next time I'll have to visit just for dessert :)

Make sure to check this place out - good food, trivia tuesdays, 12 buck mondays and some fantastic gigs play at the venue! You gotta love it!

Small CBD supermarket with a great range of vegan products, especially cold section/freezer goods. Very overpriced but you can regularly find a fair few items that are discounted to an acceptable price.

Half Moon Cafe in Melbourne, Australia

Half Moon Café has earned itself The Age’s 2010 Cheap Eats award for the best vegetarian dish in Melbourne. With the amount of fantastic vegetarians and vegan cheap eats in Melbourne this really surprises me.

The Cheap Eats review brought me to the cafe to sample the so-called holy grail of falafel and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. Maybe I've just been spoiled when it comes to good falafel but in my opinion this was pretty average - I didn't even end up finishing mine.

If you're in the neighborhood and in the mood for falafel, I recommend trying one of the many options on Sydney road instead of Half Moon.

La Panella Bakery in Melbourne, Australia

What a fantastic discovery this bakery is! Your classic old school bakery with fresh bread and baked goods at very reasonable prices. All breads are vegan and the baked goods that are vegan are clearly marked with a sign. Be warned - the sweet options are extensive and it's impossible to decide on just one treat but for the price you can afford to splurge a little.

They sell vegan meat pies and sausage rolls hot and ready to go and at a great price - can you even get a icky non-vegan murdered meat pie for $2 these days? Even if you can I doubt it's as delicious as La Panella's!

I walked out of the bakery with a pie, sausage roll and a bag bursting with one of each of the vegan sweet options (donuts, slices, scrolls, etc) to share with friends. All for under $15.

Make sure to check this place out - delicious, vegan and affordable...do you need another reason? :) Hop on a tram now!

Lentil As Anything - Abbotsford in Melbourne, Australia

Staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is good and the convent grounds are beautiful! Abbotsford Lentil is a great place to have a slow and lazy lunch on the weekend - if it's sunny make sure to sit out on the grass with your plate and enjoy the beautiful grounds.

I've tried the buffet a handful of times. The food is tasty and hearty and there are usually plenty of vegan options. Honestly, it's not going to blow your socks off but it's good enough and filling and you'll be supporting an organisation that encourages interaction, cultural exchange and community growth...what a wonderful thing.

Lentil As Anything does great things within the community and they deserve all the support they can get.

After too long searching for a vegan iced coffee I was extremely happy when the guy working agreed to make me one even though it wasn't on the menu.
It was definitely worth the wait. I haven't had vegan ice cream that good...ever.
Since I'd just come from La Panella so I didn't have room for one of their desserts (which looked absolutely delicious) but I did buy some of their vegan cheese!
Will definitely head back soon to try more of their menu (and bring some ice cream home)

Trippy Taco in Melbourne, Australia

Trippy Taco is a funky little eatery and one of my favorite places to eat in Melbourne. They have delicious food with vegan variations of everything and generous sized servings. I recommend the spicy tofu burrito and trippy fries (make sure to ask for vegan cheese in your burrito) I am yet to try any of the desserts but they sound promising.
The restaurant is very small and it can be hard to get a seat inside or out. If they're packed to the rafters I recommend pulling up a patch of cement out front and munching with the resident hipsters.

Make sure to take food and water into the shop - you may be in there for days trying to decide what to buy.

What can I say? It's a vegan's paradise. Soooo many fake meat options you'll want to run home and start cooking!
The prices are average for mock meat but it's definitely worth the trip for the convenience of having everything you could want to buy in the same place! Plus, all the weird and wonderful things you may not find at your normal Asian grocery store.

Huge buffet selection with lots of fake meat options (yum) but don't go overboard - charge is by weight. Loved every bite of my meal, can't wait to go back here next time I'm in Sydney.
Also, the vegan icecream is a must-try!

Not vegan friendly - The waitress said they had soy milk, so we ordered a bubble tea. When we returned a second time we were told they do not/never had soy milk. Very disappointed.

Yummy curry pastes and a fantastic range of faux meat in the freezer. Have tried a handful of the different kinds of 'meats' and was not disappointed.

Small shop with a great range of vegan goods. I had my first taste of vegan cake here and wasn't disapointed, couldn't have been more happy to find a slice of chocolate cake on my birthday :)

Living Food Cafe in Rawai and Nai Harn, Phuket

This was my first experience with raw food - we had the raw pizza and the eggplant parmesan dish, both were freshly prepared and although I won't be switching to raw foodism anytime soon, I did enjoy the pizza. Smoothie was delicious but make sure to mention no honey (if you swing that way)

Was very excited to try the raw cheesecake but they didn't have any that day and no cashew cheese which we'd heard about being made at the cafe - a little disappointing.

The cafe was completely silent and made for a slightly awkward dining experience - some music would go a long way here and the prices were pretty expensive by Thai standards. If you enjoy raw food, you know what you're getting yourself into - just make sure to bring along a few friends for some good conversation..

Dinner was pretty basic, tasty enough but nothing special. The dessert made up for that, we had vegan raspberry pie + vanilla sauce - it was delicious!
