Sawatdee Uptown is a good place to grab some Thai food, but I agree with other reviews that there are better places in Uptown for Thai. But you can definitely find good vegetarian and vegan options. The atmosphere is kinda lame, though...it looks like the building used to be a Perkins or something. They decorated alright inside, but the architecture of it clashes with the decor and food. Overall, if you want to try Sawatdee, I recommend the one in Downtown. The food, atmosphere, and service have all been fantastic each time I've been there.
None of their microbrews are vegan, not even their basic lagers. When I asked the server if they had any vegan beers, she had to check with a brewer, who said they all use gelatin or some other animal product in the brewing process, so none of them are vegan.
I did have the chips with quacamole and salsa, though, and those were awesome for a bar in Minnesota. I'm not sure what else on their menu is vegan or can be made vegan, but I wouldn't go there to eat since I wouldn't be drinking any of their beer.
The menu is small and the vegetarian options are extremely slim (and only one vegan sandwich). I wouldn't recommend this place at all unless you're being dragged along to dinner with carnis and omnis.
