Leigh and Ken, the owners, are wonderful people who really care about animals. Everything they carry is 100% vegan. On Friday mornings they sell fresh baked goods from Dulce Vegan! Get there early because the goodies go quickly. A very relaxing atmosphere. I love to shop on their online store at cosmosveganshoppe.com. They really care about their customers. Fast, hassle-free service. A must visit!

This restaurant is great. My husband and I eat here everytime we are in the Atlanta area. My husband loves the Kalebone (a homemade meat substitute that is very chewy--like steak). The "tuna" salad is a yummy appetizer. Their signature Prince salad dressing is to die for...I could literally drink this stuff. I love to get the mac and cheese, steamed broccoli, and candied sweet potatoes. I dream of eating their food! The banana split is very good too. A must try if you are going to be in the Atlanta area!

This restaurant has wonderful food. They are reasonably priced and have fabulous service. Everything is vegan except for the soy cheese (which contains casein). The desserts are delish! They used to have a hummingbird cake and an almond joy cake, but they no longer serve these. Highly recommended!

These guys make excellent food, but they are only open for catering at this location. You can call and make a reservation if you want to eat in the restaurant, but it has to be for a large group of people. I was quite disappointed to learn of this. The restaurant is in a shady location, but the food they serve is worth it.

Rosewood Market and Deli in Columbia, South Carolina

Rosewood Market is a great place to eat and very VEGAN-friendly. They have the best deli in town. There is always at least one vegan option to choose from on the menu and sometimes there is two (either two vegan or 1 vegan and 1 macro--which is vegan). All of the items in the deli case are color coded so that you can tell which products are what. Black means there is animal ingredients in that item. Red means that the item is Macro and Green means that the item is Vegan. This system really makes it convenient for the shopper. They have great salads and fresh fruit daily to go along with your meal (along with a bajillion other things). This is a veg lovers paradise. I have yet to be disappointed with anything that I have eaten there. They have really good jerk tofu and tofu loaf (seasonal I think). Almost all of their desserts are either Macro or Vegan. It is very rare for them to serve a dessert that contains animal ingredients. Some of their cakes can be a little bit dry, but it doesn't bother me that much. They usually have carrot cake, chocolate cake, banana walnut cake, cowboy cake, tofu cheesecake (oh, I forgot, this one is very gross! it has some sort of vegan gelatin on the top of it), blueberry pie and/or cobbler, lemon pie, and coconut cream pie...the list could go on and 95% they will all be either vegan or macro. They have great brownies too. I buy them all the time. I have a real vegan sweet tooth if you have not noticed. Eat in or take out. They have a little patio to eat on outside whenever the weather is nice. The grocery store is great too! I shop there all of the time (in addition to the local Earthfare). They carry many items that are made locally and they carry many other popular items found in regular health food grocery stores. There is a vitamin/herbal medicine section, produce, dairy, meats, faux meat, gluten free items, bulk section, frozen foods, snacks, juices, cereals...everything! They even have a small section for those who have diabetes (low sugar, sugar free, etc.). A must visit if you are in the area!

This restaurant is amazing! Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable of the vegan menu. My husband had the vegan pasta alfredo and I had the vegan risotto dish (I cannot remember the name of it, but it had chunks of artichokes, red peppers, onions, and Italian "sausage") and they were both divine! This is not one of those "hole in the wall" restaurants. I highly recommend getting the vegan chocolate cheesecake for dessert (the cheesecake is very thick and rich, one slice is big enough for two - I promise)! You might even get to see Ingrid Newkirk if you are lucky (for those of you who are PETA lovers). She was sitting right across from me and my husband, but I was too shy to talk to her. I believe she frequents this restaurant and helps with the menu ( not sure though). ENJOY!!

Panda Veg in Richmond, Virginia

While my husband and I were traveling in Richmond, we drove by Panda Veg just to see what it looked like. We did not eat there, but the restaurant looked very very small and the location was not exactly the greatest. They may have great food, but I wouldn't know. Maybe one day we will venture out there again and find out.
