I really love going here on Thursdays (vegan day).. my favorite thing is the mock fish sticks! From my experience the food actually tastes best on vegan day. Not sure why that is.. If you like homestyle cooking with not much processed food, it's great. The atmosphere looks nice but is not the most friendly, certain people seem to hold smiles hostage. But the food is worth it!

This restaurant is like a lot of vegetarian restaurants I've been to in the Chinese areas of L.A. (Alhambra, Rosemead, Monterey, etc.) in that they use mock meats. They give you plenty of green vegetables, but sometimes they seem to go a little heavy on the grease, and my favorite dish, the shrimp w/broccoli, is pretty expensive. I don't recommend this place if you're on a low/no oil diet, but it's pretty tasty in general. I haven't had anything that I did not like, in terms of taste.

My faves are the deli sandwich and the adzuki burger (probably the best veggie burger in town). The atmosphere is clean, sophisticated yet not stuffy, and the service is very fast and friendly. It's a good place to go for lunch.. I've talked to others who think the dinner leaves something to be desired because they don't give enough vegetables, too much processed stuff. But definitely one of my two favorite restaurants. The only suggestion I would make is to maybe have the option of replacing the potato chips and side coleslaw with something like chips and salsa and/or a fresh little garden salad.

One of my two favorites in Tucson (the other being Lovin Spoonfuls). I love seaweed and would recommend the seaweed salad, the tofu/mushroom udon, or the tofu hamburger bento. There's also an entire vegetarian/vegan menu in the adjoining sushi restaurant, Sushimatsu, but it's kind of pricey. Some people think this place is bland but I like this style of food because it's nourishing.. plenty of tofu and veggies and not much processed food. The atmosphere is nice and the service is fast and friendly.

The food is really great.. Good, nourishing, homestyle food with no processed stuff. I love the bread! The problem is if you have a big appetite you might find yourself asking for more bread. Me and my boyfriend ordered three dishes per person (I think) and ended up needing more bread. But maybe we're just little piggies, I don't know..
