The Bungalow on Park in Jacksonville, Florida

Just wanted to set the record straight on this place. I didn't actually eat here but I stopped by and checked out the menu. This is a normal 'healthy' restaurant with steak and pork chops on the menu. Needless to say as a vegan I wasn't really feeling it. However, they told me the chef always has one vegan dish on the menu which is commendable. But this isn't really a place I would go unless I was eatin' with the fam.

The service was great but I was somewhat disappointed with the vegan options. I had an avocado sandwich with veggies that was completely boring. The sweet potato fries (SPF) were limp and mushy. I like my SPF crispy. Also, none of the homemade desserts were vegan. I think for a vegetarian (non-vegan) this place would be great but I left mostly unsatisfied.

Everything is vegan here. We loved the cafeteria 'fill your plate' style of this place. All the food was fresh and delicious. A big plus was ready made sandwiches and brown rice sushi rolls wrapped to-go for the travelers. The desserts should also not be missed.

If you are looking for a quick veggie burger or dog, then this is your place. My favorites are the Soy Burger and Jumbo Soy Dog with Better Fries. Try the condiment bar: The Vegan 1000 island dressing is great on a burger or fries!!!

They also have soy cheese, but it is not vegan (casein). Other than that, I believe they don't use dairy on anything. Instead they use Vegan mayonnaise and trans-fat free margarine.

This menu is almost too extensive! It was very difficult to choose an entree. The Sesame Chicken was very good. They have many "typical" vegetarian Chinese fare as well as many unique appetizers and entrees (I was a little scared of the Veg Jellyfish appetizer.) Overall, I was very satisfied and plan on going back.

Eaten here a couple of times and thought it was decent. Tonight, got the Seitan Lemongrass Curry and it blew me away! It came out sizzling in a pan. I added some red pepper paste to it and went on a trip to flavor land. I’ll let you know when I return.

You know the drill. Chinese vegetarian meat substitutes-a-plenty. I eat vegetarian chicken legs like they're going out of style! I'm probably the most carnivorous Vegan on the planet. Weird, I know.

Pukk is delicious! Any vegetarian duck entree is worth trying. Thai ice tea with soy milk! Don't miss the $6 lunch specials... soup, appetizer, and small entree. Small portions, but you can't find a better vegan deal in NYC.

Vegans, be sure to request no eggs.

The decor is also interesting... it feels like you're in a huge, modern, neon-green accented bathroom.

One of my favorite veggie restaurants in the city! The menu is 99% vegan. If you like fake meat, the Buffalo Wing appetizer is a must! Also, don't miss the lunch specials (until 4:30pm) for cheap eats. The vegan soyshakes are delicious and inexpensive (about $3.50).
