The first time I went into this place, I was quite pleasantly surprised to see so many vegetarian/vegan options in a bar! I've had the BBQ pulled seitan and the portabello burger, both were very good. Their nachos are also delicious! It's also nice to see some thought put into veg food (not just another veggie hoagie). My only complaint is, the last time I went there for lunch, our food took about 45 minutes to arrive. BUT the whole meal, (including drinks) for 4 of us, was then free.
The CO-OP itself is just a great place for vegans and vegetarians alike. My husband and I have been members now for about 6-7 years. Their cafe has a great salad bar and weekend brunch. I LOVE the wheat-free pancakes! As far as their daily entrees go, some I have loved, some I thought were so-so.
I highly recommend this place to any vegetarian/vegan who wants something OTHER than Broccoli with garlic sauce at a Chinese restaurant. They have a very expansive Vegetarian menu available. They also have very good soups, including vegetarian wonton and hot and sour.
I've eaten at Mad Mex like a 100 times and it has never disappointed me! They have a lot of vegetarian or vegetarian-options available. Their chick pea chili is awesome! They also have a burrito with said chick pea chili inside. A lot of their other burrittos you can also get with tofu or portabello instead of meat.
Most of their food is not that exciting, but they have the best veggie burgers ever! They are deep-fried, huge, and served on a gigantic roll. It's almost enough for 2 people.
Their food and service is pretty good. Yummy egg rolls! I haven't been there in a while, but I believe they got rid of the mock meat dishes from their menu. It's a shame, because I really liked the mock General Tso's chicken!
My co-workers and I went there today for the lunch buffet. (One thing to note, the buffet doesn't really start until 11:30...and it wasn't even ready until about 11:45). But the food was pretty good. The palek paneer was my favorite.
This is one of my favorite take-out places. You get a LOT of food for $5.00 and it's always delicious. I'm surprised to hear about the other reviewers bad experience. My family has eaten here for years and never got sick once.
The Zenith is one of the most unique places I've ever eaten at. Being in an antique shop, you can buy almost anything you see. The tofishy is VERY good. I also had tortilla soup, which was also quite tasty.

I've never had Ethiopian food before, so I have no comparison, but I think their food is really good. If it's your first time, I recommend getting the vegetarian combo platter. You can sample 3 or 4 dishes, plus their bread (which has an interesting "spongy" type of texture).
