My husband and I are amazed at the superlatives people use to describe the food at Udupi. Makes us curious as to what they are used to in the way of flavor. We had two personal experiences where there sambhar was spoiled. My husband talked to Ramesh, at which Ramesh pretended not to know what he was talking about.
My husband's a scientist so he was very inclined to take a sample home so he could test it in his lab. I regret not letting him do that. currently there is a lot of sympathy for the guy about the immigration violation (In case people didn't know Udupi's previous management was convicted for immigration violations) - what is worse is that he was palming off over-spiced spoiled food. The chappie should never be allowed to open a food bus again.
