All I had here was an appetizer, but it was fantastic! It was cheap, and the ambiance was lively but not too loud.
The main dish I had here was incredibly cheap--less than $5. The food was very simple, healthy, and tasted ok.
The wide menu has many vegetarian and vegan options, the food is reasonably priced, and it tastes good. The service was very good. However, I asked if the sauce on my burrito was vegan, and they weren't sure.
This is the best Vietnamese or Chinese place I've seen in town, and it has reasonable prices. It has a bike rack.
Almost their entire menu has the meat/tofu/mock duck as options, so most everything can be made vegetarian and often vegan. The prices are good, and the place is pretty hip.
I've only eaten their lunch buffet, which costs about $8, and is quite good. There's plenty of vegan and vegetarian food available, but you need to ask for the former.
On the plus side, there's a decent amount of options for vegetarians to eat in the grocery. It's what you'd expect of a natural foods store.
However, they don't go out of their way to cater to vegetarians. Their deli has limited vegan options.
The food was simply excellent. The spring rolls and accompanying peanut sauce was very tasty, having much more flavor than you would expect in a spring roll. The curry tofu was excellent. It was pretty greasy, however. Good service.
Hip place, popular and has nice furniture. The best Thai food I've had, I think because it has a Chinese influence.
It's a beautiful co-op with vegan grocery selections not be found everywhere. I discovered and became addicted to figs while shopping here. The staff are friendly and helpful.
I've eaten here several times, and I've been impressed with everything I've eaten. The food is flavorful, though I can't say it's particularly inventive. It's a good place to bring vegetarians and non-vegetarians together. The prices are reasonable.
It was really empty when I went there for lunch on Tuesday. The chef was friendly and seemed to know what vegan was, and the food was simple and tasty. The service was friendly. The prices were affordable, but not outstanding. I'd go there again.
This place has an excellent ambiance. I've had several meetings here. However, there are very few vegan options.
The vegan options here are limited, but the waitstaff when I went here were knowledgeable. It's expensive for what you get, but quite good. The only vegan dessert they had was sorbet, but it was fantastic.
The food was good and very well marked on whether they are or can be made vegetarian/vegan. Service was very friendly. The dish I had was a combination of samplers, and the flavors mixed together, which in this case was a less than ideal situation.
The service was very fast, and the burritos at Chipotle are filling. It's a reliable place to eat.
Common Roots is a favorite. They have great vegan desserts and a good atmosphere. They support community groups with donations, and I've had several meetings in their common room that they offer for free. The room has horrible acoustics. They compost, pay a living wage, and buy local food. I often run into somebody I know there, which is fun.
Fantastic and creative food, great service, quiet place. The price is average and well worth it. Most (all?) of the vegetarian dishes are vegan, and they have an extensive selection of choices.
The food was quite good, the portions big, and the prices were excellent. I was here on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm, and the service was incredibly slow. Also, my friend's dish was hot (spicy), and it wasn't indicated on the menu. She was looking for something that isn't hot.
The food was tasty and the service and prices were reasonable. I didn't understand why we seemed to have multiple servers. I might go back here.
They named the restaurant after Mahatma Gandhi, and prominently display his image. However, the serve meat, which seems to insult the memory of a strident and outspoken vegetarian.
Before I ever came here, I heard people talking about it. I didn't really know what kind of place it was for quite a while until I was told it was a convenience store. I don't care much for convenience stores, but that's because most are not like the Gopher Express. They easily have the highest percentage of vegan items I've seen. It's especially impressive considering that they don't have a whole lot of anything.
The food here was creative and very tasty, the service was good besides that they were slow in getting us rice.
I'll admit my bias: I know the people who run the place.
What a treat! It's a small cafe with a simple menu, but the food was great! I had a mock-turkey sandwich and a vanilla-orange (or something like that) cupcake. It was straightforward, tasty, and affordable.
This is only the second vegan cafe in the Twin Cities area. It's great to walk in and know you can have anything on the menu.
The service was great, though they are still figuring out how to do things like run the cash register or have enough bread on hand. Not surprising, since today was their first day.
The decor is interesting, and brightly colored. There's outdoor seating on a patio. It's very accessible by bike, since it's right off the Midtown Greenway.
For the size of the place, they have a lot of good vegan processed foods. I like the name, too.
The food is fantastic, very tasty. I've brought at least a dozen of my friends and family, and they all think it's great. The prices are very reasonable, and I believe it's only crowded for lunch. Their Curried Tofu is one of the best in the Twin Cities. The service is mixed. Everybody is great except for the owner, who is very difficult (but is at least amusing).
It's a great hangout, and when I was in there last there were a total of five different soy ice creams or sorbet. I hadn't been there in a few years, and they used to not carry as many soy options.
I had the pho, and it was very fresh and tasty. The serving size was large, and the price was good. The service was excellent. This place is fantastic!
The food was very good but selection limited. It was difficult to figure if there were any vegetarian or vegan items by looking at the menu - I would have left after looking at the menu had it not been for vegguide. The prices are cheap, but the portions much smaller than a sit-down restaurant. I ate outside (they have a few small tables outside) on a nice day and the area has a nice ambience.
I've eaten here once, and I was impressed. They had something on the menu that was vegan, it was very tasty and healthy, and the service was friendly and helpful.
Excellent food, good price. The music was too loud.
The service was excellent - the owner/chef talked to us for a long time to tell us what was vegan on the menu, and what he could otherwise make. The food tasted good, but much of it was bland. The serving portions were small, and the prices were reasonable.
I went here with a friend today and very much enjoyed the food. It was very affordable with large portion sizes. The appetizer and one of the main dishes were excellent; the other main dish was just ok. The flavor was interesting and subtle, and different than what I'm used to eating.
I would give this place an excellent rating if it weren't for everything else: the service was slow (despite that there were few people there) and not very attentive -- they forgot to bring out cutlery and a napkin with the appetizer, and I asked for a container to bring leftovers home, and they apparently forgot to bring it. Also, there were several flies, and the decor was a bit lacking.
I had the buffet. This place is incredibly vegan-friendly, as most of the dishes are vegan and marked. There's a lot of variety of flavors, and everything I had was good.
The service here is friendly, and there's lots of good vegan spices and processed foods.
I had a Thai Basil Supreme and it was excellent. I asked if it was vegan, the waitstaff clearly understood what I meant and said it was.
Lots of vegan choices in a hot deli and a few sandwich choices too--one of the best selections of the natural foods stores in town. The prices are reasonable and well-labeled too. As a grocery store, it's standard and big enough to have all the usual vegan items.
It was very cold when I went there. I've eaten here twice, and the first time I liked it, but the second time I had two curry dishes and they were just ok. I think they were too sweet for my taste. The service was friendly.
Good food. The curries are not vegan, as they have fish sauce. Service was good, ambience was pleasant.
It's a cozy place, very cute. Somehow, It makes me want to be more quiet than I otherwise would be. The food is good, if a bit boring.
The service here is quite excellent, and I had a tempeh sandwich that was reasonably priced and quite tasty. They also have vegan cookbooks.
I was recommended (see the review by conde.kedar below) a waffle, but they told me their waffles are no longer vegan. However, they said they may have vegan waffles again in the future.
The service is here is friendly, and there's (naturally) a wide selection of vegan grains, spices, legumes, pickles, and fruit.
I've only had tea here. It's quite a big place, and it hasn't been crowded when I went there. The service is friendly
Food was excellent, and the service was really good. The menu had vegan items marked. The serving size was small.
I ate with a group of five, and everybody liked their food. The service was very friendly. Otherwise, it's a pretty normal Indian restaurant. It was completely empty besides our group when we were there late on a Thursday evening, and it was not a Husker game night in town.
I had the enchiladas and they were a bit bland, but good. I enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere, and the server was friendly. The prices were good.
Although I couldn't find anything on the menu that was vegan, the server was very accommodating. The food was interesting, tasty, and inexpensive.
Simple, but excellent American style food. Very big portions, but the price varies by the dish. Very vegan-friendly. Excellent vegan cake.
Absolutely fantastic Vietnamese/Chinese food, and great portion sizes and prices too. I had the braised tofu and loved it. Small, hip place with casual waitstaff

I've been here twice and both times the food was unique and very tasty. The waitstaff were very patient with me as I was breathing down their neck because of the long wait. The big crowds and loud noises were the only thing bad. Also, my non-veg friends enjoyed the food.
