Thanks to the reviews on this page, I had to go to Herbivore on my last S.F. trip. It was a great lunch and I wish I could have gone again but time did not permit. I am excited to go for brunch on my next trip since everyone raves about it. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
I finally made it to Millennium on my last trip to S.F. I have the last cookbook (nothing of which I can make but great to look through) and have been dying to go for the last couple years. Well it was all I expected. It was fantastic but not incredibly great, if that makes any sense. The service was excellent and the food looked like the beautiful pictures in my book. Nothing to complain about from start to finish. Although, it is pretty pricey.
Once again, as a vegan it is so refreshing to walk into a wonderful restaurant and order anything on the menu. That is a feeling that is indescribable. Thanks, Millennium!
Wow! What a great place. I wish we had one in Minneapolis.
Is this place a twisted joke?? It's the only "vegetarian" restaurant I've heard of that serves fish and fowl. Please don't go here. Rude waitstaff and no reason to support a "vegetarian" place that serves meat.
If you are vegan, stay far, far away. They only offer one dish on the menu, asparagus, that is vegan. All the rest are vegetarian and the chef, or "cook" would be a more apt desctiption, will not even make the effort to make something vegan. I guess he never heard or olive oil. This place is so insulting that the server told me the bread was not vegan but the salad was ok even though it had croutons.
If you are vegan, please do not patronize this place as they are rude and insulting to vegans. Go down the road to Psycho Suzie's where at least they "get it".
This restaurant is the best in the Cities for interesting vegan fare. Ask Chef Lee for his "invisible menu". Here you will find incredible vegan creations. He made four unbelievable dishes completely vegan that are no where to be found on a menu. This is a must for vegetarians and vegans.
I realized after all these visits to Triple Rock for the past two years I never wrote a review. It's awesome. We finally started going in the evenings for food after a year of weekend breakfasts. Great stuff. New items appeared on my last visit last weekend so I tried the vegan meatloaf. This is killer with red skin mashed potatoes and corn and peas. Others have written about the atmosphere so I won't bother but it's always a great time.
Great food and fabulous juices. A great lunch spot. I wish we had one in our town.
My wife and I were visiting Toronto for two nights and spent each evening at this fantastic restaurant. The food was sensational, the service great and the atmosphere very soothing. It is rare to find these types of creative vegan restaurants anywhere in North America. People of Toronto, you are very lucky indeed!
Nice people, great little place. I had the bbq tofu sandwich made vegan and it was delicious.
Just got back from a trip to Portland and Seattle and went to as many vegan (or places that serve vegan food) as possible. We tried Veganopolis for brunch on a Sunday and it was wonderful. First, it is a very clean and inviting place. Second, the food was really good - not everything was the best I've had but I would surely be a regular if I lived here. The people working were very nice and gave me tips on other vegan restaurants around town.
