821 cafe has a new menu, and it's really good. They have awesome breakfast selections (their banana pancakes are AWESOME). Their veggie burgers are the best I've ever had. Vegan entrees include stuffed portabella mushrooms served over orzo, angel hair pasta with veggies, black bean burritos, chili, and hummus. Their have many vegetarian entrees, my favorite of which are the fried artichoke sub with provolone, the portabella mushroom and brie wrap, and fettuccine alfredo with asparagus and broccoli. They also have peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and banana sandwiches, that can be grilled if you want. This is my favorite place to eat in Richmond.
some of the meals are a little pricey, but their falafel burger is delicious. my favorite coffee drink is the vanilla soy late.
panda veg is awesome. my favorite dishes are the kung pao "chicken", vegetable rolls, vegetable wontons, fried bananas, and home style bean curd. it's a good place for college students to go to because of the atmosphere and the low prices, but i would recommend it to anyone- even non vegetarians. surprisingly, their mock meat has tremendous flavor and doesn't have that nasty rubbery texture of most veggie meats. the buffet is definitely worth the $8, and you get the chance to try a bit of everything.
