I just can't get excited about this place. Sure vegan donuts are few and far between, but shouldn't they be good too??
Ecopolitan is pretty expensive, but the food I've had there has been pretty tasty. A good place to go to once in a while, or just to try, but a bit too pricey to be a regular stop.
This place is very good!
I went with a group of people this past weekend, good food was had by all. Amongst the things mentioned in Dave Rolsky's review may I add the Sesame noodles and vegan lo mein.
My favorite part was at the bottom of the menu which said some to the effect of "We cook all our vegetarian foods in a separate wok."
High Recomendations!
The best thing going for this place is that it's located two blocks from my house. The food is fine if you're starving and happen to be in the neighborhood, but I certainly wouldn't go too far out of my way for it.
Izzy's makes some good vegan ice cream. Selection is a bit limited, but who can beat a serving of fresh home-made vegan ice cream on a hot summer day?
Went on the recommendation of other reviewers in this forum, they ain't lying!!
Pizza Luce's selection of toppings can't be beat. Try a pizza with artichoke hearts. Also the vegan muffeletta and bruchetta are quite tasty!
Seward Cafe has been a favorite eating location of mine for years. Its one of the most colorful places in town. The back patio is open when weather permits and serves as a great place to just sit down with a plate of the vegan biscuits and gravy and read a book or talk to a freind. As a special added bonus, you even get to make up a name for yourself!
What can I say, this place is a 10. I've rated and reviewed many places and this is the first 10 I've handed out. It's a score that I don't give lightly, but in this instance, it's very well deserved.
The food was wonderful. It's presentation was beautiful. We were amazed by our first meal - a pasta torte (you can read my wife's review for specifics) - and things just got better from there.
The building we stayed in (Thorwood) was gorgeous. It was built in the 1880's and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many of the rooms come with fireplaces and a whirlpool and each has its own distinct look.
The food here gets a big OK from me. It's Indian, and thus good, but it's not the greatest. They also score points for being all vegetarian, but I don't really think it's worth the drive, and the expense to go there more than very occasionally.

The food here is decent, even though I feel it's a bit over-priced for what you get. They do serve a decent spring roll and thier mock duck satay (Request it be made vegan) is pretty good.
