Hands down best Italian in Boulder. Everything, from the pasta to the bread is made in house. Try the gnochi in pesto cream sauce and get ready for a fantastic meal.
They have a lunch buffet with no less than 8 dishes for under $8, Dinner is usually $10-$15.
Guiseppi and Martha are the owners and they're fantastic.
My 10 year old son loves this place too. We started with the hummus, pita, & carrots. Their hummus is almond and not garbanzo based, let me say it was tasty. My boy even asked for more carrots and pita to dip. He had the tofu peanut salad really enjoyed it. I had the quinoa & veggies with coconut milk sauce, 100% vegan and 100% wonderful.
We're going back for dinner tonight.

Had a fantastic time there last night with my 10 year old son. The squash was to die for, lentils superb, and the presentation was unique. I read on another site that it's "not kid friendly" but I must TOTALLY disagree, it is 100% KID FRIENDLY, you eat with your hands, what could be more kid friendly than that? The come around to see if you want more traditional bread to eat the food with and follow the traditional method of serving, the server feeds you the 1st bite as she said "that's the way they do it in Ethiopia" It was not cheap, 2 entrees and 1 appetizer, with tax and tip, $40. Sorry for the jab, but I've got to believe that you could feed an entire family for a month on $40 in Ethiopia. I think we'll try the "2 person feast" next time as it's $48 and you get to sample almost everything on the menu.
I give food a 9 and the price a 5, so, it averaged a 7. The Vegi-Burger with raw organic cheddar is hands down the best vegi-Burger I've ever had. My friend Bri used to be the pastry chef, but she left about 6 months ago, and the deserts just haven't been up to snuff.
Overall I'd go back, but it's expensive even for Boulder standards.
Love the Taj. Dinner buffet is $12.99 and kids 9 and over pay the full boat. Fine by me as my 10 year old eats as much as any adult. The vegetarian choices have diminished recently but you can still find something. I'm not a fan of cilantro and they're pretty good about not overdoing it. My only recent complaint is that, while my son will eat vegetarian and vegan foods, being a 10 year old he'll choose the fried meat if available and recently they've started putting out sesame chicken. Ouch! I spoke to the owner about it, first that it's not an Indian dish, and 2nd that it just fattens our kids.

Fantastic food here, and top notch service. There's always a wait for lunch if you come during prime time, but it's quick. The serve everything from classic Chinese to Pho. I try to avoid them as much as possible, but their vegi-egg rolls are to DIE FOR!.
