I went there with my husband. At first we were a little taken aback because I had heard that they were very vegan friendly, but all I saw were cheesy vegetarian menu items. I asked the waiter and he brought us vegan menus. Saints be praised! A whole menu of vegan items! We got the hummus for an appetizer, which was good. The hummus was standard, but it had a great selection of both bread and veggies to dip. I got a sandwich, which was awesome, and my husband got the artichoke pasta... which was AWESOME.
I have been twice and not been impressed. The best item I had here was the bacon cheeseburger, which was pretty good, but seemed to be assembled from store bought convenience products, so I could easily make the same thing at home. The other items have ranged from disappointingly mediocre to downright awful. My husband got a burrito which had absolutely no flavor on it's own, but was served with a "salsa verde" which tasted like straight pureed raw garlic. I mean, I love garlic, but this was horrible.
It's doubly disappointing that this is the only purely vegan restaurant in town, and it's close to where I live, but the food has been so bad that I won't be going back.
Holy cripes, this place is awesome. I went for the first time a month ago, and I have been back every week since. Both the soy chorizo and soya verde are awesome. The menu can be pretty daunting though, as it is pretty disorganized. The staff is very helpful with recommendations, and all seem to be very familiar with their vegan options.
