I called three days in advance from Texas to request gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free muffins for breakfast. Dulce Vegan Bakery delivered. Oh joy.

FYI, in Dallas Texas Wholesome Foods Bakery specializes in gluten-free, soy-free, corn-free vegan baked goods and they ship all over the USA!

Lov'n It Live in Atlanta, Georgia

I would eat here everyday if I could. The owner said she has been open for seven years. I hope she will always be in business. I love their organic raw vegan food! I traveled to Atlanta to visit my vegetarian doctor and he recommended Lov'n It Live to me. I have many food allergies: cayenne pepper, black pepper, soy, tofu, beans, legumes, wheat gluten, all grains, peanuts, basil, mushrooms, bananas, and strawberries. I told the waitress about my allergies. She told me it was not a problem because they make everything fresh to order. I was the only person in the restaurant at one o'clock on a Friday afternoon. I waited about five minutes for my soup and salad. While I ate, the owner was busy folding table linens in order to get ready for the dinner rush.

I ordered a lot of food because I needed to have vegan food on my return flight. The airport allows food but not beverages through security. I ordered the organic kale salad $11.50, organic vitality soup $9.75, organic sage burger $17, and organic mango pie $9.50. The soup or salad or entree would have been enough food to fill me up. I had enough food for dinner on the flight and lunch the next day! Everything was delicious! I want to go back to Atlanta just to eat here again.

Loving Hut in Atlanta, Georgia

I traveled to Kennesaw Georgia from Dallas Texas to visit my vegetarian doctor. I needed to grab a quick lunch and he recommended I try the vegan chain restaurant called the Loving Hut.

The cafe is cozy and inviting. When I went in the television was set to a news channel with multiple subtitles. The program reported several stories of animal rescue operations. I was not offended by the news and I do not think any of my friends would have been either. It was actually refreshing to hear about people doing good things.

The owner, a very friendly Asian man, greeted me and took my order. I explained to him that I was allergic to wheat, gluten, all grains, soy, tofu, peanuts, cayenne pepper, and most spices. He told me he could omit all the things I was allergic to but that I might not like them. I told him not to worry. I ordered three entrees because I was really craving vegetables and I wanted to have left overs to eat for breakfast in my hotel.

I ordered the guru curry soup with sweet potatoes and no spices. It was delicious! If you like spicy food, you will love this soup! I would order the guru curry again! I also ordered Stir fried bok choy, and Holy Eggplant without sauce. The Holy Eggplant with the sauce is one of the most popular dishes. I recommend getting it prepared as usual. I will pass on the eggplant next time. A patron, told me their favorite thing was the Holy Eggplant with the sauce. So if you are not allergic to soy, the sauce makes the dish dynamite.

I am happy to report that the Loving Hut can successfully accommodate vegans with allergies.

I had Papa G's cater my mother's 69th birthday party for a group of 40 non-vegans. Everyone loved the food. It was organic, healthy and delicious! Here is a great big hug and shout out for Papa G's awesome organic deli!

Thanh Thao in Portland, Oregon

Thanh Thao serves the best Vietnamese food I have ever had! My family and I have eaten at the Thanh Thao restaurants across Portland since I was 9 years old. I love their salad rolls, vegan hot & sour soup and the vegan eggplant & tofu in a brown garlic sauce. It is one of my favorites!

But anything on the menu can be made vegan and it is delicious! There are endless options. They serve many kinds of soups, hot pots, noodles and rice dishes. The sky is the limit. Some of the very, very healthy vegan options are: Rau Hap steamed vegetables with rice, rau muong xao toi, sauteed spinach with garlic sauce and rice, rau xa lach dau dam, vietnamese salad, rau xao thap cam, sauteed mixed vegetables and rice, or dau hu xao xa ot, sauteed fried tofu with lemongrass, onion, green pepper, and chili sauce.

All are delicious. When my whole family of seven, goes to Than Thao, it is so fun because we order a feast of vegan foods to share! I always order the eggplant with tofu.

I love eating lunch at Whole Foods! I had my Whole Foods cater a health starts here, allergy friendly, vegan baby shower for 50 people. Everyone loved the food. Whole Foods is much less expensive than Albertson catering. I thought I would pay through the nose for wholesome organic foods. But I was surprised. I will have Whole Foods cater my vegan Christmas party dinner to. At $10 a person who could beat that? I can't even buy and make the food for that! Here is a great big shout out to the catering department at Whole Foods!

Casa de Luz in Austin, Texas

My husband and I ate here when we traveled through Austin Texas. I love that this place is always vegan, organic, gluten free, and allergen aware! I am allergic to cayenne pepper, black pepper, dried spices, milk, eggs, soy, beans, legumes, peanuts, all grains, wheat, and gluten. Eating out is a challenge for me. My husband is allergic to eggs, milk, wheat and soy as well. I want the owners to know how grateful we are for this restaurant! The atmosphere and delicious healthy food made our trip to Austin unforgettable! I love that the food was whole, organic and clearly identifiable. Some reviewers have said the food is bland. I can see how people who eat a lot of spices and processed foods might think that. But my husband and I loved, loved, loved, loved, the food at Casa de Luz!!!!!! Nothing processed here! Yippie!

To get to Casa De Luz you need to walk through a large gate which welcomes you into a peaceful beautiful garden. You can sit down and stretch your legs and relax. I love the communal feel to the dining room. It felt so warm and inviting. It gave us the opportunity to socialize with other guests who like to eat healthy. I want to eat here everyday!

Sunday morning, the food was set up buffet style! I loved that because I have several food allergies. The morning we ate at Casa de Luze the buffet had: posole vegetable Soup, quinoa with onions, brown rice, kidney beans with a red sauce, pinto beans with chilies, mixed raw green salad with almonds, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds with a walnut lemon dressing, blancehd kale greens with an almond pesto basil, gluten free corn tortillas, cabbage and zucchini mix, mashed sweet potatoes, steamed kabocha squash, gluten free pancakes with blueberry syrup, fruity oatmeal, and hibiscus mint tea.

I thought I had died and gone to allergy heaven! I can not eat any grains or beans. So I loaded up on large raw mixed green salad, blanched kale with walnut lemon dressing, sweet potaotes, steamed cabbage, zucchini, soup and squash! My husband made himself a Mexican burrito breakfast plate with a big side of blanched kale and a raw salad.

I love Casa de Luz. I have never eaten at a microbiotic vegan restaurant before! Where has this restaurant been all my life? I have traveled the world and I can honestly say this is my favorite place to eat! Casa de Luz serves only all organic whole food and has a flouride filter on their water! I can't wait until it is time for our next trip to Austin.

Bangkok City in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas

The menu has 12 specific vegan options but almost everything on the menu can be made vegan. I order food from Bangkok City at least once a month. I have several food allergies (cayenne pepper, black pepper, peanuts, soy, egg, milk, beans, wheat, and gluten ) but Bangkok City accommodates my allergies with ease.

My husband and I have eaten here twice. We are both vegan. We simply request a wider variety of vegetables. I have had a veggie loaded stir fry with a side of healthy brown rice and a vegan veggie Phad Thai. My husband loves Pad-Woon-Sen, and Gang-Kiew Wan (Green Curry).

BEE Enchiladeria in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas
Jun 18 12

rating star

Bee Enchiladeria is amazing! The staff is really nice. Bee's serves several vegan enchilada options that change everyday. The menu clearly marks what is vegan. When you enter the restaurant you will fill out a card and select what tortilla, filling and sauce you want. For tortillas you can choose between corn, blue corn, whole wheat, flour, and a steamed cabbage leaf wrap.
For the filings you can have spinach & mushroom, quinoa & tofu, or the vegan special of the day. I have tried all of the vegan options! Some of the past specials were: sweet potato & chayote squash; zucchini, summer squash, & eggplant ratatouille; and caramelized onions, potato, tofu & chipolte pinto beans. They were all delicious!

My best friend loved the quinoa and tofu but I prefer the veggie special of the day. I love my enchiladas on steamed cabbage or blue corn with the Amarillo yellow pepper salsa. And every plate comes with rice and vegan black beans.

I wish they'd open a shop closer to where I live. I have to drive 45 minutes to eat at Bee.

Beam me up Scottie! I am floating on a cloud nine! I love how I feel after I eat at Bliss. I have so much energy! Bliss is organic, vegan and packed with super foods. I love the raw pizza and raw pie. My husband is not a raw vegan but Bliss won him over. That is saying something. I wish all restaurants in the USA were like Bliss! The wait staff is professional and friendly and the environment is clean and inviting.

Cafe Elite in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas

My husband and I love to try new vegan restaurants. The atmosphere in this cafe is nice. The staff was helpful and kind. I have food allergies to all grains, wheat, gluten, peanuts, soy, tofu, beans, legumes, mushrooms, strawberries, and bananas.

We ordered: a very berry blast smoothie $3.95, tropical breeze $3.95, the summer roll $1.75, The Grilled American Panini $8.95, Salad & Pho Noodle Soup $7.25, Raw Pizza $8.95, chocolate cake and carrot cake.

The smoothie was delicious! The summer rolls were okay. The Pho Noodle soup was impressive. It tasted like the real thing. I asked the owner how they make the vegan pho noodle soup broth and he said it was very complicated and it took all day. It's a blend of fruits, vegetables and spices.

The raw pizza is out of this world! My husband really enjoyed the grilled American Panini sandwich. But neither of us liked the vegan chocolate or spiced carrot cake. We talked to another patron who said she drove an hour across town to buy the raw strawberry pie. We did not get to try it because she bought the whole pie! It must be phenomenal!

If you are not allergic to soy or wheat you can enjoy a wider variety of foods of the menu. With all my allergies I was limited to what I could eat. But I look forward to going back to eat the raw vegan pizza. It is a 40 minute drive for me.

Cosmic Cafe in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas

The outside and inside of the building screams 60s hippie! But the food is great! There are a few items on the menu that can be made vegan. If you are allergic to milk or eggs, the nan bread and desserts do have milk and eggs.

I took my mother and friends here to eat. They loved the hummus plate, tomato dreams soup, dharma bell, cosmic stir fry and fold in thyme with cheese sandwich. They said they'd come back and eat at the Cosmic Cafe.

I am allergic to mushrooms, basil, soy, milk, eggs, wheat, gluten, beans, legumes and peanuts. It was hard for me to find something I could eat here. Almost everything had soy, tofu, legumes, beans, or wheat in it. I could not eat any of the appetizers, soups, desserts or entrees.

The cook made me a special corn tortilla filled with sauteed zucchini, onions, bell peppers, and carrots with a small salad. Cosmic Cafe delivered a delicious allergen free meal to me.

Fadi's Mediterranean Grill in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas

Fadi's has two vegetarian options: Fadi's vegetarian sampler for $11. It has hummus, bread, a cold salad and a hot vegetable dish, and Deep fried Falafel (chickpea) vegetarian sandwich $5.50

My husband and I are new to the Dallas area and decided to try Fadi's. We both have food allergies to wheat, gluten, beans, legumes, peanuts, and mushrooms.

Fadi's is not economical to eat at if you have food allergies. We both selected the vegetarian platter for $11. We had the baba ganoush dip, purple and green cabbage salad, fattoush, lebanese salad, and italian green beans.

The food looked delicious. But the dip and salads were swimming in olive oil! My husband and I felt like we were drinking oil and I could not taste my veggies! I did not finish my salads because there was so much oil! We were still hungry when we left. We won't go back.

The staff at this location told me that the owners/manager of the Greenville location is a vegan. My husband loves this place. He can order a giant monster sized burrito filled with his choice of mexican rice, black beans, grilled peppers, grilled onions, grilled corn, grilled zucchini, green onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pico de gallo, roasted garlic, salsa, and tomatillo salsa. He can get three meals out of it.

Kalachandji's Restaurant & Palace in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas

Kalachandji's is closed on Mondays. My husband and I have eaten here numerous times. The staff is very friendly and professional and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I love to sit outside in the garden at night. The waitress told me that Friday and Saturday nights are my best bet for getting vegan desserts. The menu changes daily and is online.

This vegetarian buffet is very allergy friendly! There is a board on the wall that indicates what food contains wheat and or dairy products. The hot lunch buffet with the salad bar is $8.95. It is a dollar less if you only want the salad bar. The hot dinner buffet with the salad bar is $11.95 or $8.95 for only the salad bar.

The buffet is very, very vegan friendly! When I have a question, the staff is quick to answer it. Most of the foods do not have milk or eggs. The vegetarian buffet always has the same daily staples: a lentil soup or yellow split pea soup, basamati rice, brown rice, jasmin rice, steamed spiced savory mustard greens, steamed veggie medley with lemon tahini sauce (on the side), okra & potato curry, vegetable curry, pakora, pappadama, achar, homemade cinnamon wheat bread, tamarind tea, fruit halvah dessert, a vegan cobbler or vegan cookie, and a great salad bar with fresh fruit.

In addition to the daily staples on the buffet, they make an international entree. Each day the two international main entrees change. We have tried the vegetarian lasagna, enchiladas, spinach quiche, curried pumpkin, lima bean curry, vegetable pakoras with tamarind chutney and BBQ tofu.

I have several food allergies but I can always find enough to eat. My husband and I have eaten here six times. We love the food! The people are very friendly and professional.

Snappy Salads in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas

My husband and I are vegan and we have food allergies. Snappy Salads was a great choice for a quick healthy lunch. Both my husband and I are allergic to dairy. The man behind the counter asked us to if we wanted to sample the lettuce soup. He told us there was no dairy in the lettuce soup. We thought the soup was delicious. We were going to order soup, but the lady behind the counter informed us that the lettuce soup had sour cream stirred into it. (Good thing I only took a little sip). I will make sure to ask the manager about soup ingredients in the future.

My husband and I ordered two oversized salt crusted russet baked potatoes ( minus the butter, cheddar, bacon, and sour cream). We substituted raw broccoli, green onions, roasted red bell peppers, and a drizzle of olive oil. Each potato was $6 bucks. And we also ordered two large spring mix salads with our choice of veggies. Each large salad was $12.70. So our salads cost us $25.40 plus $12 for our potato = $37.40 This was a very expensive lunch! The food was great. But the salad was over priced for a vegan version.

My husband and I decided that we would both rather go to Sweet Tomatoes all you can eat salad, soup and baked good buffet. There lunch price is $8.29 and their dinner price is $10.29. It is a better deal. Lunch for the both of us would have only cost us $16.58 instead we paid $37.40 at Snappy Salads.

I love the Spiral Diner & Bakery because they have an allergy friendly menu that is soy-free and wheat-free. I have eaten here four times. I have allergies to beans, legumes, peanuts, soy, tofu, wheat, gluten, all grains and mushrooms.

I am a raw vegan and I enjoyed the Raw Salad with a raw walnut dressing $7.50. I added a raw nut patty to my salad. It was delicious! The Brown Rice Pasta Primavera is delicious and is only $9.95 (but it is not raw). I am in love, love, love with the raw chocolate torte!

My husband eats here more often than I do. He loves the Potato Salad. We make a trip over just so he can get a large order of it. He also really likes, Ramsey's Perfect Protein Platter $7.95, Viva Las Migas Breakfast Burrito $9.95, the Hot Hummus Wrap $8.50, the El Paso Burger with a nut patty $8.25, and the Red Coconut Curry Noodles $9.95. He has tried the Cookies n'Cream shake, Chocolate Mountain Mudslide and the raw chocolate mouse torte. He said his favorite is the raw chocolate torte.

My husband and I have eaten here twice. We thought the elderly owners were very nice. They have a vegan bumper sticker on their delivery car. The foods that are vegan are clearly marked on the menu. I am allergic to eggs, milk, soy, wheat and peanuts.

My husband ordered the eggless eggrolls, soy fish in with garlic sauce, sesame orange soy chicken with steamed broccoli, and ma-po tofu. I ordered the vegetable curry marsala, mixed vegetable stir fry, and steamed bok choy in garlic sauce. My husband liked my soy-free vegetable dishes more than the ones he ordered. His were mainly deep fried mock soy meat. Of the foods he ordered he enjoyed the ma-po tofu the most.

We have both had the opportunity to eat at Suma Veggie Cafe and Veggie Garden and we prefer the atmosphere and the wait staff at Suma Veggie Garden more. Also Suma Veggie is less expensive. They have a lunch buffet that is almost the same as Veggie Garden's. Both are heavy in soy but worth the price if you can have soy and wheat.

Sweet Tomatoes in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas
Jun 18 12

rating star

I love Whole Foods Market's organic Cold Salad Bar, Deli Bar, and Hot Bar.

And I love Sweet Tomatoes! The location at old town in Dallas just opened in May of 2012. Sweet Tomatoes is an all you can eat salad bar, soup bar, and bakery. When I went they gave me a coupon and my lunch was only $5.99! The normal price of the all you can eat lunch buffet is $8.29 and the dinner buffet is $10.29.

Sweet Tomatoes salad bar has almost every raw veggie you could imagine: raw shredded zucchini, raw butternut squash, raw summer squash, raw brussels sprouts, raw carrots, raw beets, raw cabbage, green bell peppers, and a myriad of other raw or pickled veggies! They also have nuts, seeds and fruits.

Sweet Tomatoes is very vegan and allergy friendly! They have an allergy eating guide available to all their customers. There is a little green leaf by items that are vegan! The guide also indicates which foods are soy free, and gluten free! It makes eating out much easier. In my case, I have to have the management print off a detailed list of ingredients for the soups and dressings due to my multiple allergies to: oats, all grains, wheat gluten, wheat, beans, peanuts, legumes, soy, egg yolk, milk, cayenne pepper and black pepper. In the end, I put a drizzel of olive oil on my salads because all of the dressings had something I was allergic to in them.

Sweet Tomatoes usually has 3 vegetarian soups available. When I went they had one vegan soup and two vegetarian soups. The tomato and onion vegan soup was vegan and had no soy! Yippie! There was also fresh pineapple and other fruits to chose from for dessert. If you are not allergic to oats you can enjoy the fruit cobblers too.

Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant and Bar in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas

rating star

My husband and I are both vegan. He is allergic to milk, eggs and wheat. I am allergic to wheat, soy, tofu, beans, legumes, peanuts, milk, all grains, and eggs. The waitress was very helpful and spoke perfect English.

We have eaten at Taj Mahal three times. Twice for the lunch buffet and once for dinner. I love the buffet because I can eat all the food I want and fill up on yummy dairy-free veggie dishes. The vegan items that I have tried and like are: Kachumber salad, Allo Chat Salad, Mixed Vegetable Curry, Bengan Bhurtha, and Aloo Muttar, and Aloo Bengan.

However, my husband and I had dinner here and we spent over $80 because the serving sizes of the actual vegetable dishes were very, very small! Keep in mind we can't eat the nan breads or rice. If we could I think we would have been stuffed. If you are not allergic to soy, wheat, grains or milk you will find that the food they serve at dinner is enough to fill you up. Our situation is a bit different due to our allergies.

Veggie Garden in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas
Jun 18 12

rating star

The waitress Paula was not very friendly or professional. I took a group of 10 friends here for dinner. I hope my friends will go back.

For starters we ordered the eggless egg roll and the spring rolls. No one liked them.
For our entree we ordered: sesame soy chicken, soy beef with broccoli, Soy fish with brown sauce, soy pork lo mein, eggplant in brown sauce, kung pao soy shrimp, stir fried bok choy, hot & sour soup, soy steak noodle soup, crispy pan fried rice noodles with soy shrimp, combination fried rice, sweet cinnamon pillows.

All of my friends agreed that the food was delicious. They were surprised that there was no fresh green salad options on the menu and that the dishes were primarily fried soy with a sprinkle of vegetables.

If you have a wheat or soy allergy this is not the restaurant for you. You would be very hard pressed to find a lot to eat.

I have food allergies to wheat, gluten, soy, beans, lentils, peanuts, basil and mushrooms. I found the only thing on the menu I could eat was the salad and the raw lasagna which was delicious! I loved it. The V-Spot has a very nice romantic atmosphere. It is an upscale vegan dining experience. I wish they would make a special allergy friendly menu and expand their menu to cater to people with several food allergies.

As a vegan with tons of food allergies, Whole Foods Market deli is my go-to place for a quick, healthy, organic lunch! I love the Abrams location. They have a lot more vegan options in their deli and hot bar than the Park Lane Whole Foods.

Whole Foods catered my vegan baby shower for 60 people. They did a fabulous job! The chef accommodated the recipes to my fit my food allergies. I can't believe how affordable it was and how delicious the food was! I priced out Albertsons and Costco but Whole Foods won hands down for price and quality!
